Beltane welcomes the blossoms
\nThe blossoms of the May
\nHazel stout and stocky
\nKeeps everyone at bay
\nHazels thorny countenance
\nIt’s leaves that surely tonify
\nRich in vitamins for
\nReplenishing those lost from Yule
\nWhilst Helping us restore<\/p>\n
The sweet scent conjures
\nUp in me, a project for the child
\nWho wanders aimlessly
\nOn the digital pathways
\nEver wild
\nWhilst unseeing of the fabric
\nAnd The corridors of life
\nThe sugar and the woody smoke
\nThat internalises strife<\/p>\n
The fire of the great goddess
\nBeltane just makes us sure
\nMore animals now on parade
\nIt’s part of natural law
\nThe first green shoots
\nShout louder
\nTo the new lambs in the field
\nHoist the May pole clasp
\nIt’s ribbons
\nFeel, all the gladsome yield<\/p>\n
Lots of flowery garlands
\nDandelion and daisy chains
\nLet the bonfires smoulder
\nThe smoke inducing gains
\nTo rid the cattle of the ticks
\nFor that was clearly when
\nThe need became a potential
\nRecorded by the pen
\nMid summer sends it symphony
\nTo harvest time for there
\nWhere The fruits of all our labours
