Wild elephants how they suffer
\nThe martyrdom and pain
\nThe instrument of anguish
\nThe distressing notes that gain
\nA distressing amount of angst among
\nThose who hear their cries
\nThe heavy handed harshness
\nAnd the bloody weeping eyes<\/p>\n
The training crush of evil
\nKraal with ropes and ties
\nIt’s designed to crush the spirit
\nIn case the babe defies
\nThey stab the ears
\nThey stab the feet
\nThey deprive the soul of sleep
\nIt’s
\nTorture dire and terrible
\nTo see it is to weep<\/p>\n
What’s it about you may ask me
\nTo tear the wildness free
\nSo as to let the humans on their back
\nOf course ride free
\nTourists at these jungle farms
\nOf course they want to ride
\nOn the elephants back a while
\nAnd hate if it’s denied<\/p>\n
But the elephants are tortured
\nBroken till they do
\nWhipped and bull hooked
\nOr with chains
\nThis agony is true
\nThe elephant never forgets
\nHe lets the tourists ride
\nHe knows what is the outcome
\nIf his willingness is denied<\/p>\n
The tourists is an arrogant sod
\nUncaring in a way
\nBy asking for this journey
\nHe thinks he is now on side
\nBut of course the poor old elephants
\nHave suffered terribly
\nAnd so they crouch down and take the ride
\nBecause it has to be<\/p>\n
The trials and tribulations
\nThe adversity and woe
\nThe complete mortification
\nHow uneasiness did grow
\nA wretch describes the misery
\nHarrowed on the rack
\nAnxious and unhappy
\nAnd getting the attack<\/p>\n
Accursed and doomed forever
\nMade to undergo
\nTo endure the agony
\nTo throw up may be so
\nTo flinch and wince all through it
\nThe terrible distress
\nThis is what the elephants are made to go through
\nAnd no less<\/p>\n
And so to all you tourists who like to go abroad
\nTo India or Thailand
\nJust so you can afford
\nThe elephant ride I beg you do not ever go
\nAnd tell your friends to also say
\nIf asked never NO!<\/p>\n
The elephants remember
\nThe pain they took for days
\nIn their minds and in their hearts
\nThe agony it plays
\nOut in them those feelings
\nThose memories they feel
\nThose burdens it’s stays with them
\nForever remains real<\/p>\n
And it’s really such annoyance to them
\nSearing scalding sores
\nInvidious and offensive
\nIt breaks all the laws
\nIt’s pathetic and tear jerking
\nUnendurable lets say
\nAnd all so tourists can have a ride
