So many of us born with voices
\nLost our eternal power
\nUp against the ruling classes
\nWho preach down from their tower
\nWho rule with their iron glove
\nOf hate
\nWho threaten and who we
\nBuild up fear and anguish for
\nAll through history<\/p>\n
Who force us through oblivion
\nWith one glance of their eye
\nOne glib woeful squint they do
\nAnd we are left to sigh
\nThe animals have voices
\nEach communicate
\nBut we despite our loving them
\nCan seldom validate
\nTheir purpose of existence
\nWe fail to consider why
\nThey have a different countenance
\nEven if we try<\/p>\n
And some of us born wicked
\nWith a loathsomeness of old
\nOdious and obnoxious
\nWhy are we really sold
\nOn the killing of these animals
\nFor our pleasure for our sport
\nFor our table for our entertainment
\nTardily we are caught
\nup in our transgression
\nAntagonism rules
\nUnfriendly disaffected
