Pale eyes almost alien to the soul
\nWho sat there on
\nGoudhurst
\nRoad in Downham
\nTill we just upped, and were gone
\nA kind of spiky furry
\nCaterpillar of a cat
\nStaring in a locked embrace
\nThat’s where she was at<\/p>\n
A really gorgeous colour
\nAn elongated gait
\nClearly a metamorphic smile
\nContent just to debate
\nyes she did all the talking
\nUncomplaining and secure
\nReconciled to making peace
\nAnd having to endure
\nOur gaze, she crouched
\nApproving
\nHer splendour was her own
\nQuite the sweet enchantress
\nShe sat there all alone<\/p>\n
A well proportioned body
\nA sort and swishy tail
\nCurious and artistic
\nReady to derail
\nUs humans gazing at her
\nHopeful she would see
\nThat we could feel her
\nSelf effacing mesmerising glee<\/p>\n
And as we drove around the corner
\nIn what was a warmish phase
\nWe kind of felt those creepy eyes
\nAs she fell back to laze<\/p>\n
Quietly near the roadside
\nCuriously to share
\nTo share those alien eyeballs
\nSo pale but so aware
\nRolling in her furry head
\nFor all the world to see
