For most of us just contemplating
\nBASE jumping we feel
\nSuch action is just crazy
\nHow can it be real
\nBut those who feel that spirit
\nKnow the adrenaline that’s there
\nIt’s about determination
\nA single mindedness all share<\/p>\n
It’s that challenge
\nIt’s that rush
\nThe excitement the intrepid
\nThe undaunted voice
\nThat flush
\nThat takes on the indomitable
\nAnd does it out of choice<\/p>\n
The doggedness the exhilaration
\nThe danger
\nIt’s just there
\nLeaping into super space
\nAnd being so aware
\nFlying arms outstretched
\nThe cold wind biting in your face
\nRocks flashing by you might soon die
\nA man in what a race<\/p>\n
It is to stare, into beyond
\nDown through the misty cloud
\nFalling like a bullet
\nWorking through the cloud
\nWith ultra impetuosity
\nThrilled in such a scene
\nOf wonderment
\nOf madness
\nMercurial and excitable
\nIt’s been<\/p>\n
And abandoned and highly strung
\nBase jumper
\nEvokes such spirit
\nRe kindling among<\/p>\n
The so called force
\nOf gravity
\nThey be
\nHurtling like a condor
\nWith the parachute pulling free
\nDanger is his master
\nBeing totally unafraid
\nBeing rather resolute
\nIn wings and talons weighed<\/p>\n
Knowing just how great those watching
\nAbsorbed and arrested by
\nThe singled minded
\nThe turbulence
