The Earth wears
\nJack Frosts ermine cloak
\nIt chills the bones
\nas snowdrops poke
\nThey push on through
\ntough nuts to crack
\nTheir white bells draw
\nthe coming flack<\/p>\n
The days are lengthening,
\nhow it numbs
\nThe gardeners fingers,
\nthe forsythia will
\nWith it’s golden crispness
\nspill<\/p>\n
Resplendent yellow oft
\nfluttering snow
\nFalls from on high,
\nas the spring bulbs show
\nAt Imbolc
\nsome of that powdery snow
\nThat lends itself
\nto a new found glow<\/p>\n
Mugs of hot cocoa
\nwith a dash of rum
\nTo warm the cockles
\nand calm the tum
\nFor lots of sheep girls
\nit’s birthing time
\nTheir Milk is flowing
\nA worthy rhyme<\/p>\n
Which gives those infants
\ngood nutrition
\nAs they begin
\ntheir sweet life mission
\nSeeds are stirring in the earth
\nThe cauldron steams
\nwith roots of worth<\/p>\n
Light a candle offer a gift
\nnature’s cycles
\nFeel that lift
\nThe sun may peek from
\nA well lit sky
\nBut it’s bitterly cold
\nWhich is really why<\/p>\n
Down in these iron works
\nIn the dank old earth
\nWe enjoy the ritual
\nOf re-birth
\nAnd the fellowship
\nof the order, we
\nJoin together perfectly<\/p>\n
Part of the whole
\nAnd all of the way
\nTo the great rock strata’s
\nOn this Sunday
\nClear Well caves
\nMined for iron-ore
\nIn the Forest of Dean
\nWhere less is more<\/p>\n
We watch our breath
\nJoin clouds above
\nAnd feel that
\neverlasting love
\nAt The rocks at Coleford
\nThe echoing sound
\nOf being together
\nUnderground<\/p>\n
Sharing it all
\nIn the chambers below
\nOut of the wind
\nAnd Out of the snow
\nDown in the bowels
\nOf the earth we stand
\nAnd We all feel warmer
