The vast trailer swings into
\nAn auction yard
\nThey are swept into pens
\nIt all feels so hard
\nTheir bleating their lowing
\nTheir pain we can hear
\nAll those strange noises
\nDrawing their fear
\nstuck in this vehicle
\nFor hours and hours
\nNot given water
\nLosing their powers
\nClearly so fearful
\nSensing the worst
\nFeeling inside of themselves
\nthey are cursed
\nThey are all babies
\nAs timid as hell
\nDreading the moment
\nSmelling the smell
\nIt’s excruciatingly obvious
\nTo them, that they
\nAre being sold off
\nTO someone today
\nThey are manhandled
\nBadly
\npulled by their ears
\nSuch exploitation
\nFears and then tears
\nPoked pulled and prodded
\nMan unkind shows
\nHis vile credentials
\nUnder our nose<\/p>\n
Look at their faces
\nSuch consternation
\nAll of their features
\nShow trepidation
\nIt’s so alarming
\nTo watch what they do
\nStand very quietly
\nVery nervous it’s true
\nSome look aghast
\nHaunted in fact
\nCowering and cringing
\nTormented attacked
\nWhat can they do
\nThey have no place to hide
\nForced into the spotlight
\nTheir space is denied
\nLoud voices calling
\nSlavery they
\nAre being sold off
\nTo who knows where today<\/p>\n
We are so insensitive
\nThey have strong feelings
\nWe decide everything
\nPart of the dealings
\nIs we decide
\nWhere they must go
\nWhat’s going to happen
\nIt just must throw
\nThem into confusion
\nAnd heighten their fear
\nWe would be fearful
\nThat’s very clear
\nThey work with senses
\nIt’s easy to see
\nAnd feel their despair
\nI am no visionary<\/p>\n
And each one communicates
\nIn it’s own way
\nLaments I am sure
\nAt the end of the day
\nTaken from their parent
\nAnd regretting that so
\nThey have been kidnapped
\nTo be part of this show
\nTagged that was painful
\nPunched through the ear
\nWhy do they do this to us
\nIt’s not clear
\nWe are just numbers
\nThat seems the way
\nSold to the highest bidder
\nToday
\nDragged by one leg
\nPulled by the tail
\nWe have got feelings too
\nWhy do they fail
\nTo realise that
\nHow would they feel
\nTortured I bet they would
\nbreak down and squeal<\/p>\n
But when it comes to us
\nAnything goes
\nWe do not suffer
\nTheir tirade and their blows
\nTheir kicks their expletives
\nWe take it all
\nA dirty old barn
\nMouldy food
\nThey appal<\/p>\n
Me just expecting
\nThat animals will
\nSuffer in silence
\nReally until
\nThe final chop comes
\nAnd we hang off the chain
\nBleeding out kicking wildly
\nIn terrible pain<\/p>\n
But when it suits them
\nWhen kiddies come by
\nThen it’s how cute we are
\nThey look in our eye
\nPat us pretend their is love
\nAnd real care
\nAnd when the kids are gone
\nThat’s when we are aware
\nIt’s a matter of time
\nWhen loaded on the truck
\nThat’s when we know they don’t give
\nA fcuk<\/p>\n
We are just a means to an end
\nThat is all
\nLife it means nothing
\nHanging on some wall
\nBleeding out tragically
\nMeat in some pie
\nOr a burger or sausages
\nWe can rely
\nOn humans to care
