Elephants have been wandering about
\nThis earth 6 million years
\nIn all that time predation
\nClearly brought some tears<\/p>\n
But now in this new decade
\n4 an hour are shot
\nMurdered for their ivory
\nAnd that’s a bloody lot<\/p>\n
So much so at this rate
\nelephants will not be
\nAround very much longer
\nSadly as most can see<\/p>\n
The biggest of the land animals
\nWho clearly have little hope
\nFor man is the aggressor
\nAnd the poor souls cannot cope<\/p>\n
With machine guns and
\nKalashnikovs
\nThe poachers seem to know
\nWhere they are
\nAnd when to shoot
\nAs ivory sales just grow<\/p>\n
China and the Far East
\nApparently they buy
\nEverything thats offered
\nWhich my dears is why<\/p>\n
Unless we can do something soon
\nAnd get behind this trade
\nElephants will become extinct
