Tragically over 20 dogs perished
\nHere
\nand they were suffocated it is said
\nallegedly a wire was bitten through
\nWhich
\nStopped the air conditioning
\nAnd why they all fell dead<\/p>\n
The owners went away leaving
\nCaretakers there to care
\nAnd all this carnage happened
\nWere these souls aware
\nSurely the moral principles
\nOf such a facility
\nWould need assurances that
\nIf the owners left
\nThat there would be<\/p>\n
People who could carry on
\nWho could check and investigate
\nBut seemingly the problem
\nApparently was too great
\nWhen the fault was discovered
\nAttempts were made to try
\nAnd cool the dogs down
\nBut sadly all of them did die<\/p>\n
Despite the deaths they carried on
\nTaking new admissions
\nPromising high standards
\nIn tune with their conditions
\nBut clearly this was not the case
\nAnd many hounds were harmed
\nPsychologically damaged
\nAnd anything but charmed<\/p>\n
Imagine what it must be like
\nTo listen to the spiel
\nAnd leave your pet somewhere like this
\nI mean it’s very real
\nAnd they have an obligation
\nThey are answerable and should
\nHave given a good account of what had happened
\nIt’s not good<\/p>\n
To treat your customers loved ones
\nIn a disrespectful way
\nThis is so insensitive
\nWhat else can one say
\nGrief is how they are feeling
\nAnd sorrow that they left
\nTheir precious souls with this lot
\nAnd now feel so bereft<\/p>\n
Of course there is a liability
\nIncumbent on this place
\nThey are wholly accountable
\nWhat happened is a disgrace
\nHow they handled it un businesslike
\nCavalier I’d say
\nNo respect for their customers
\nAt all which has to play<\/p>\n
Very much against them
\nBut instead it seems as though
\nCharges brought against them
\nHave been dropped a real bad show
\nSo they get no compensation
\nThe place I hear is shut
\nWith all these terrible happenings
\nI feel it in my gut
\nIf I had lost a pet of mine
\nAnd some owners lost three
\nWell I would be beside myself
\nAnd sue them actually<\/p>\n
The state is in a state
\nIf it lets this facility
\nKill 20 dogs
\nAnd treat the owners
\nSo insensitively
\nThere has to be duty of care
\nIt’s a death house and it must
\nNever open it’s doors again
\nFor who would ever trust<\/p>\n
