Thunderbay Ontario out in the bush they be
\nTrapping wild souls from set traps
\nTheir dad put in a tree
\n40 traps in all are placed
\nIndiscriminate disregard
\nFor Nature for the family
\nAnd just how bloody hard<\/p>\n
It is for little animals
\nTo survive the wintry bite
\nResponsible for their families
\nHow can this be right
\nthe natural world is out there
\nNot for man un kind to kill
\nTo exploit and just cause
\nawful grief
\nReally for the thrill<\/p>\n
Teaching children to live the wild life
\nWhen they live inside
\nSacrificing animals
\nOf course it is denied
\nBoth parents think it’s right and proper
\nThe wife though has some doubt
\nA women must appreciate
\nWhat it is about<\/p>\n
They arrogantly step forth
\nInto the wilderness
\nAnd slaughter little animals
\nCausing them great stress
\nThe father thinks he’s on the case
\nHe’s giving them a way
\nOf being able to live outside
\nAnd really make it pay<\/p>\n
Leaving his contraptions
\nTo coax fur bearing souls
\nAnd it’s all regulated
\nThere are strict controls
\nTrappers set their own controls
\nAnimals have to be
\nDead in 120 seconds
\nOf the vilest agony<\/p>\n
Not just to their person
\nBut their family who will die
\nImagine a mother or father trapped
\nAsking themselves why
\nBut these human beings have no thought
\nOf the animals they kill
\nThey do not give them any chance
\nIt’s all about the thril
\nIt all about the chance of catching
\nWild souls for their skin
\nIt’s skilful no it’s wilful
\nIt’s pure and simply sin<\/p>\n
For these souls are shared animals
\nThey walk the forest free
\nMartens,weasels,beavers stoats
\nFoxes all now be
\nWolves and lynx such creatures
\nAll sadly can be
\nTrapped and killed lost for ever
\nTo this sick family<\/p>\n
Unashamed and graceless
\nHardened to the plight
\nUnrepentant about the deaths
\nLiving in the light
\nThat is what’s on offer
\nBut they prefer to be
\nOut together killing
\nFor them that is the key<\/p>\n
To wonderment and knowledge
\nA chance to make some cash
\nTo sell the skins and supplement
\nIt’s all done in a flash
\nThe daughter she feels big
\nShe’s trapped and killed a lot
\nThe mother thinks it best by far
\nTo be out there and it’s not<\/p>\n
Up to anybody to talk down to her
\nFor she
\nKnows so many children with their I pads
\nOn their knee
\nThey do not move nor discover
\nThe wilds that are around
\nAnd her kids they are healthy
\nAnd successful bound<\/p>\n
Why teach children trapping
\nKilling it is sick
\nGo out with your cameras
\nAnd learn learn the trick
\nOf seeing And believing
\nThat wild creatures have their place
\nThey are living where they were born
\nUnlike the human race<\/p>\n
They have great humility
\nMuch more than humans do
\nThey resonate with their habitat
\nThey have a kindly view
\nEach learns respect and wisdom
\nAnd serves the natural law
\nBut the parents here are stubborn
\nPsychopaths for sure<\/p>\n
Without any foundation
\nFor belief in what they do
\nWhat they catch is a surprise
\nWatch their film it’s true
\nIt’s indiscriminate slaughter
\nAnd alters perspectives by
\nTaking out some predators
\nBut,not knowing why<\/p>\n
The environment we live in
\nWhere each soul has it’s place
\nTrapping them and killing them
\nReally we deface
\nThe great planned equilibrium
\nThe ramifications Be
\nGreater than we can imagine
\nAs for this family<\/p>\n
Their arrogance is off the screen
\nTheir ignorance is too
\nThey are destroying the environment
\nWhich is part of me and you
\nThey don’t have the licence
\nTo kill no not at all
\nAnd making a film and showing it
\nShows me they are off the wall<\/p>\n
Canada has a lot of things
\nGoing on out there
\nSo many do not value
\nThe wild folk
\nAnd will not share
\nThey want to do away with them
\nKill them see them dead
\nFor a pittance in reality
\nThey are off their head<\/p>\n
It’s so sad that the people
\nHave this blatant disregard
\nFor the wild life all around them
\nAnd the countryside is scarred
\nBy their heinous disregard for it
\nTheir hearts and minds are spent
\nKilling for a shilling
\nBut never getting their consent<\/p>\n
The arrogance is born of man
\nAnd it will be his end
\nThose children one day
\nMay look back and say dad was no friend
\nHe took us into hell and now we know
\nIt would have been
\nBetter to take a camera
\nThan kill like a machine<\/p>\n
Regret we have a lot of regrets
