Sam Simon has this wealth of spirit
\nDespite his sickened state
\nHe has a heart and such courage
\nHe feels the wild souls fate
\nIs wrapped up in the human mind
\nThe insensitivity
\nThe lack of understanding
\nFor the mammals in the sea<\/p>\n
The great whales have protection
\nBut the ignorance of some
\nThe wastefulness of others
\nThey have their health but numb
\nTo other souls who share this planet
\nWho have a role to play
\nWho swim in the vast oceans
\nBut still so many pay<\/p>\n
Illegal gill nets thrown away
\nCause unbelievable pain
\nFloating under the surface
\nReally such a bane
\nOn life on creativity
\nDiscarded without thought
\nKnowing the great loss of life
\nHe gives them some support<\/p>\n
So many are unconscious
\nUnresponsive they can’t see
\nThey have eyes and they have brains
\nBut somehow they fail to be
\nCreative and supportive
\nTo the wild life that abounds
\nSam Simon on the other hand
\nIn,love this man he drowns<\/p>\n
He cares he shares his knowledge
\nFate allocates to those
\nA sickness and a shorter life
\nInside some of us grows
\nGreat wisdom and deliverance
\nIn others maybe not
\nThey lost their sensitivity
\nOr never cared a jot<\/p>\n
What Sam Simon does is admirable
\nHis cancer clearly riles
\nHe sees his life now slipping
\nAnd he reconciles
\nHis passions to support wild life
\nWhen others fail to, he
\nIs trying hard to save them
\nAnd by so doing he will be<\/p>\n
Remembered and respected
\nFor the kindness that he shows
\nIt takes courage tO get out there
\nWith film making or prose
\nIt takes a great deal from you
\nTo create rather than not
\nAnd so what he is doing
\nIs clearly such a lot<\/p>\n
And others they will follow
\nThey will Be inspired to try
\nFighting for the underdogs
\nOthers might ask why
\nThis is what makes our world special
\nThe yin the yang it’s there
