\nAre clearly in violation
\nOf every sacred principle
\nIn the saddest Nation
\nLions once Kings of their surroundings
\nNow resorting to
\nComplete starvation slaughter
\nAnd the conflict that does ensue<\/p>\n
6 Lions killed by tribesmen
\nTheir livelihoods threatened by
\nThe starving Lions
\nBoth sides misunderstood
\nYes the Maasai
\nThey sell and eat their animals
\nAnd if Lions get in the way
\nClearly it’s big conflict
\nWhere in this case they did pay<\/p>\n
Wild Lions are endangered
\nSo it’s not the right thing to do
\nKill them in some murderous jaunt
\nBut then they take the view
\nThat livestock is important
\nAnd Lions just cannot come
\nAnd eat their precious cattle
\nIt is hard and so some<\/p>\n
Desperate to feed Their families
\nTheir instinct from before
\nSee groups of animals penned up
\nI mean to say for sure
\nHow do you stop them coming
\nAnd the Maasai ought to see
\nBut are blinded by their own demands
\nSo it’s conflict now that be<\/p>\n
Out there causing much concern
\nFor undoubtedly the Lions
\nDo generate more tourists
\nWith money and the signs
\nAre that it’s counter productive
\nBut the Government must try
\nAnd sort this out with the
\nCharities and those now who rely<\/p>\n
On everyone living side by side
\nAnd realising they
\nCannot go on killing sprees
\nIt just is not the way
\nIt was in the Babati region
\nOn new years eve when they
\nSnapped and sent their killers out
\nTo make the wild souls pay<\/p>\n
Killing lIons is stupid
\nIt’s cruel and lacks the thought
\nThen they are desperate people
\nFeeling they are caught

\nOf losing land to hunting
\nAnd of now losing their livestock too
\nTheir little bit of bunting<\/p>\n
The froth of life the bargaining power
\nAnd so they kill and we
\nSee terrible pictures of 6 dead Lions
\nWhich really must not be
\nEach must see the others case
\nAnd try and understand
\nNot retaliate and slaughter
\nAnd so risk the all their land<\/p>\n
Africa needs Lions to be
\nRoaming that’s for sure
\nThe wild ones have their heritage
\nSo to bring them into war
\nIs totally wrong and senseless
\nThe spirit has to be
\nMore caring and more sharing
\nAnd more daring actually<\/p>\n
Killing Lions who feel desperate
\nWho are starving in the wild
\nThey only do what we would do
\nHabitat loss has riled
\nThe kings they need predation
\nAnd the Maasai have to see
\nHerding animals into pens
\nWill bring lions obviously<\/p>\n
The wild life causes problems
\nAs does lack of thought and care
\nSo government has to jump on this
\nAnd involve the aware
\nOnly with combined effort
\nCan this problem be resolved
\nWe have to prove we can so this
\nAnd by doing so have evolved<\/p>\n
Each has need and each must be
\nCatered for of we shall see
\nAll out war and much bloodshed
\nAnd wild souls like these 6 now dead
\nThe killing has to stop and we
\nMust help the kings to really see
\nGive and take and also share
