Just a lad on his bike
\nDoing what young boys like
\nTill he noticed a sight
\nThat hurt him alright
\nA dog so neglected
\nSo ailing so ill
\nJust looking up at him
\nTrying to will<\/p>\n
Garret to help him
\nSo easy to do
\nBecause Garret was a lovely boy
\nThoughtful through and through<\/p>\n
He just left his bike
\nPicked the dog up for he
\nTook him in his arms
\nHome you could see<\/p>\n
This was humanity coming to be
\nWhoever neglected this poor soul
\nMight free
\nHimself from the care he had needed to give
\nBut just left him to die
\nOn his own
\nWhen we live <\/p>\n
with such morals
\nOur hearts are colder than ice
\nHis dog a loyal friend
\nLeft there wasn’t nice<\/p>\n
To die on one’s own is a scary affair
\nAnd who ever left him like this
\nWas unfair<\/p>\n
Garret picked him up
\nAnd carried home
\nGot in touch with the vet
\nThat dog couldn’t roam<\/p>\n
Far from where it had been left tragically
\nAnd despite all the efforts
\nIt died quietly<\/p>\n
Imagine the heartless the nasty the sick
\nOwner who left it to just somehow pick
\nA spot on the road and dump a sick hound
\nHopeful he’d die with no one around<\/p>\n
It’s asking so much from a loyal
\nCanine friend
\nTo be all alone at the bitter end
\nBut fortunately Garret found him and he
\nFelt the boys blessings
