It is slow suffocation
\nAnd why has that to be the way
\nTo me it’s inconceivable
\nThat anyone would pay
\nOn promotion is it really
\nHow callous and insensate
\nWhoever packed them for display
\nHow comes they couldn’t wait<\/p>\n
These are living creatures
\nWith feelings and the woe
\nOf being suffocated under plastic
\nThey must know
\nThose creatures when they are touched
\nRespond
\nThey move they show the signs
\nOf life
\nAnd there are no breathing holes
\nJust accumulated strife<\/p>\n
So unconcerned so ugly
\nSo evil and so bad
\nThe supermarket’s ethic
\nIs really very sad
\nAnd what about the suffering
\nThe anguish stuck inside
\nThe torture and the torment
\nHow have they denied<\/p>\n
The feelings of these creatures
\nBorn deep in the sea
\nAnd packed in what is surely
\nPure adversity
\nEach wretched soul is hurting
\nIs weeping that’s for sure
\nThe lights, the lack of air
\nHow can we ignore<\/p>\n
The mortified the tearful
\nThe disillusioned here
\nThe utter lamentation
\nAnd extraordinary fear
\nAs for the so called public
\nProdding them to see
\nThem moving struggling inside
\nTheir plastic death shield
\nTragically<\/p>\n
These are living creatures
\nWith feelings and with pain
\nFlorence just to see this
\nMakes me feel sick again
\nThe public are as numb
\nAnd dumb as any ere could be
\nWhy do they put up with all of this
\nThose creatures of the sea<\/p>\n
Being sadly tortured
\nThis hideosity
\nThis terrible misbegotten deed
\nIt’s vulgar and it’s wrong
\nSuffocation truthfully just
\nDoes not belong<\/p>\n
Anywhere ever right now
\nDid they learn nothing from Christmas
