Vietnam realised just how obnoxious
\nthe herbicide dropped on them was
\nover and over and again and again
\nthis deluge, and it was because
\nthe forests were precious
\nto all of us
\nwe lived there
\nwe ate there
\nour life
\nwas inside the forest
\na great massive life form
\nand raining down
\ncame so much strife<\/p>\n
Imagine how deadly
\na cocktail it was
\nto destroy all of nature around
\nwith vile implications
\nfor people, all people
\nwho entered that poisonous ground
\nAgent Orange the yanks went and called it
\nfrom the drums it was packed in, for they
\nhad bloody great stripes on them, yes orange stripes
\nAgent Orange was born from that day
\nthe vilest of mixtures
\nthe cruelest of sprays
\nat the processing stage
\nit took on a new phase
\nsynergy too held and so it became
\na grief loaded cocktail
\nbound to inflame
\n13 times stronger than it should have been
\nand of course very lethal
\nto any green scene
\nMonsanto and Dow
\nmust ask themselves how
\nthey knowingly let this go on
\nThe US defence where was its sense
\nthis evil was falling upon<\/p>\n
the enemy so called, civilians
\ntheir own soldiers down on the ground
\nand still to this day
\nin Brazil I’ve heard say
\nthe forests are now being drowned
\nthey were innocent souls
\nliving in holes
\nfighting to bring up their families
\nlike you
\nwhilst down from the skies came this
\nevil, this frighteningly
\nterrible brew
\nthose that lived in the forest
\ntook care of the place
\nwhat you went and did, was a bloody disgrace!
\nyou took them all out
\nwith your potion of death
\nand they died or were maimed
\nand left fighting for breath<\/p>\n
the jungle and all the life in it began
\nto rot, for this dire cocktail
\npart of your plan
\nto cast out the enemy
\nand you seemed set
\nto do this in any way
\nand the world let
\nyou do it, and since then some
\nhave looked away
\nas people fell dead, or withered away
\nmiscarriages, still births, and deformity
\nthat is the picture that mothers did see
\nmany were born when
\nthere wasn’t a war
\nmany don’t know what the
\nlong war was for
\nmany didn’t care
\nthey loved life, and they
\njust wanted to live
\nin peace everyday<\/p>\n
returning soldiers back to the US
\nmany were sick from the chemical stress
\nthey too denied
\nand were lied
\nto, and they
\ntragically, for them
\nsome, passed away
\ntheir wives have
\nseen vile deformity too
\nbut the US refused to accept
\nit was true
\nthe chemical companies
\nMonsanto and Dow
\nand everyone living
\nis asking them how
\ncan you sleep at night
\nyou must be able to hear
\nthe agonised cries
\nof the mothers in fear<\/p>\n
the mothers whose babies
\nwere dead in their womb
\n9 months of hell
\nand their womb was a tomb
\nthe mothers who looked
\nat their new born, and saw
\na monster that somehow
\nwas caused by the war
\nthe greif and the shock
\nit was too much for some
\nand they wandered away
\nand would always feel numb
\nthey will cry in the night
\nthey will bleed from their soul
\nknowing their enemy
\nstooped to control<\/p>\n
tore out their hearts
\nand their minds
\nthey bereft
\ntheir spirit their life force
\nno nothing is left
\njust the tear drops that fall
\nfrom the thousands of eyes
\nand the blood that seeps slowly
\nfrom thousands of thighs
\nif this is humanity
\nis this what we
\nhave achieved
\nall these aeons
\nthen, it should not be<\/p>\n
