Yule brings us hope
\nYule brings us light
\nYule brings us pain
\nAnd nothing to gain
\nThat window in Camden
\nA piglet asleep
\nA piglet was killed
\nAnd this poet does weep<\/p>\n
This poet did cry
\nThis poet did see
\nTears and eyes so red
\nKnowing that we<\/p>\n
Fought the good fight
\nSaw the piglet and knew
\nThat piglet died
\nBecause piglets do<\/p>\n
At the hands of the butchers
\nThe corporate slobs
\nWho murder and sell
\nWith their violent gobs<\/p>\n
Yes it is yule
\ntime of good cheer
\nA time when chickens and
\nTurkey’s do fear<\/p>\n
A time when the piglets
\nThe calves and the lambs
\nWhen most babies suffer
\nWhen the butcher man crams<\/p>\n
Fat up the arse
\nOf so many who cry
\nWho scream in their sheds
\nOn hooks and who die<\/p>\n
Cranberries, forcing, sage
\nMaybe too
\nIt’s about tradition
\nAnd maybe you <\/p>\n
Christmas is supposed to be
\nCulture oh dear
\nA time of such agony
\nAnd so much fear<\/p>\n
For the butterball turkeys
\nAnd the gold medals won
\nThe chickens and capons
\nAnd pheasants now run<\/p>\n
The gambit their feathers
\nTorn out of their skin
\nNo little soul
\nCan ever win<\/p>\n
The intestines of many
\nWill receive death and gore
\nFor the piglet in that plastic sleeve
\nJust ignore<\/p>\n
Our tears those of us
\nWho feel sad and alone
\nAnd sit by ourselves
\nAnd hear the wind moan<\/p>\n
That dear little piglet
\nNow dead to the world
\nIn that Camden window
\nGracefully curled<\/p>\n
Soon in rich spices
\nAnd sugar and fat
\nYou will be eaten
