Chrissie came out
\nAnd posed with us she
\nSo laid back and cool
\nBut with such synergy
\nThat special spirit
\nIt sprung from her will

We felt at ease straight away

We had decked out our stall
\nNear the great Yuletide tree
\nWith its baubles and chains
\nAnd it’s own symphony
\nOf colours and angels
\nAnd evergreen charm
\nFeeling genuine really
\nAnd purposefully calm<\/p>\n
December reminded us
\nIntimately
\nIt’s breath was becoming
\nMore wintry
\nThe front doors were opened
\nOur bones took the bite
\nRaw and now nipping
\nWe felt that alright<\/p>\n
We shared Peta’s messages
\nAnd wished all good will
\nThen Tony arrived
\nWith Yeoman, so still
\nIn a sea of supporters
\nThis man’s bright of face
\nWith his black Labrador
\nAnd his true good grace<\/p>\n
He assumed we were there
\nTo look after his hound
\nWe said we would love to
\nA mascot we’d found
\nHe gave us a bowl and some biscuits
\nAnd we
\nwere to look after Yeoman
\nExtraordinary<\/p>\n
He was so passive
\nObliging and strong
\nHe stayed by our side
\nAnd enjoyed the great throng
\nPETA and Yeoman
\nAnd Claudia too
\nAnd me and the Christmas Tree
\nIt’s just what you do<\/p>\n
People were coming for hours
\nUp till 9
\nOutside it was pouring
\nWith hearts on the line
\nWith Jack Frosts cold air
\nSweeping into the place
\nWe needed our coats
\nAnd our scarves
\nBut the pace<\/p>\n
Was frantic more people
\nWere coming in, to
\nSee Chrissie Hyndes
\nAnd what she would do
\nThere was no let up
\nFor Koko was there
\nOn the spot sorting queries
\nAll were aware<\/p>\n
Hearing the buzz
\nSeeing it all
\nThe coming together
\nMy word they walk tall
\nAnd nobody phased really
\nNo anger shown
\nThese souls all well versed
\nWith incredible tone<\/p>\n
We all could hear Chrissie
\nHer voice and her song
\nReally spellbindingly beautiful

\nafter she finished each number
\nThe applause we could feel
\nAnd hear in our hearts
\nNo one could conceal<\/p>\n
The way that she moves people
\nThat’s what she does
\nAnd at the end, the incredible buzz
\nA hive of activity
\nAs the souls left
\nFull of emotion
\nAnd many bereft
\nOf their calmness
\nSome of it they had left in the air

We were given a tea shirt each
\nFrom her Stockholm gig
\nTo be here tonight
\nI could have danced a jig
\nIt really was joyful

\nWe found the car
