\nCouldn’t have dreamed up anything as squalid
\nassemblages of such vastness and they grow
\nA sea of filthy crammed in aching bodies
\nThe smell of shit and urine cuts the air
\nThe rabble scramble fighting for their own space
\nThe rush the crush the numb the dumb all there<\/p>\n
It’s seething with the maggots of the fly blown
\nThe roaches they inhabit in great throngs
\nThe rats are not that far behind gnawing at the flesh
\nWe have broken every law and all the wrongs
\nAre evident their lives have disintegrated
\nThey fight for every corn seed that is tossed
\nThey peck like wild piranha and suffer gaping wounds
\nLife in these vast sheds is one huge cost<\/p>\n
And these frail ragged warriors are ready
\nTo fulfil their role and they of course will be
\nStuck in some wet sandwich or in one of those buckets
\nScoffed by all and sundry for their tea
\nThey twitch they snitch they pitch their itch is hourly
\nExistence is a brief moment in time
\nIn a few weeks they grow pumped up with hormones
\nOut of their pit of shit one day to climb<\/p>\n
Onto dinner plates around the cities
\nPumped with antibiotics more so we
\nAre fucking up the chicken generation
\nAnd causing multiple harm to those who be
\nReady to confront the breaded offering
\nThe sauces and the spices that create
\nSomething kind of special in our stomachs
\nListen will you to the big debate<\/p>\n
These souls and they are souls born of creation
\nAre tortured from the moment they are born
\nA few short weeks of terror, it’s our error
\nBut a few short weeks and life from them is torn
\nThe subhuman low life labourers come to fetch them
\nThrow them into cages as if they
\nWere sacks of shit they get no care no none at all
\nInjured maimed and tortured all the day<\/p>\n
Wings smashed legs crushed this is how we treat them
\nThe agony of piece rates seems to me
\nTo once again present them with the horror
\nOf deaf blind stupid humans who won’t see
\nIt’s all about production the destruction
\nOf husbandry of caring for those who
\nWe expect to bring more profit to the table
\nWho we physically destroy that’s what we do<\/p>\n
This is the true holocaust these chickens
\nReally couldn’t suffer any more
\nTheir lives are one big agony
\nThey have no opportunity
\nFor them their permanence of life was war
\nTransported in wire cages to the slaughterhouse
\nCrushed and bleeding one can only cry
\nOne can only wonder at their purpose
\nLooking up at what they see as sky<\/p>\n
Everywhere is blood stained on the gibbets
\nThey are thrust disgusting carousels of death
\nThe guillotine may cut their throat or miss them
\nAltogether
\nAnd in the scalding tanks they then will note
\nRubbed out by the hand of death they suffered
\nHow they suffered how they took it on
\nThese wretches knew of complete desolation
\nDoomed they were completely woebegone<\/p>\n
These chicken corpses riddled with bacteria
\nCry plague and god know what else,really they
\nUnderwent such heinous ugly moments
\nA Fulsome fetid and intolerable display
\nTheir corporate masters set this up accordingly
\nEvery chicken born in that vile place
\nA concentration camp of such proportions
\nThey of course are lost without a trace<\/p>\n
Into our filthy acid ridden gobs they go
\nTrans fats follow animals fats as well
\nHydrogenated grease and all the residues
\nEnd up in our intestinal pipes of hell
\nTubes that pulse and move the regeneration
\nThe torn up shredded bodies of those who
\nWere raised in absolute squalor with the roaches and the flies
\nAnd now are forming flesh that becomes you yes girls and guys
\nFor you are what you eat and you are eating
\nDesperation despondency despair
\nWriting these words on this page
\nIs giving me goose bumps
\nSuch consternation are you now aware?<\/p>\n
How repellant you’ve become and just how cowardly
\nYou turned your head away and would not see
\nThe odious ness the hatefulness the loathsome ness

\nIs it any wonder that those chickens will come on back to haunt you
