In the inner circle
\nBelow the winter sky
\nIts the ritual of the ancients
\nWhere We all, ask ourselves why
\nThe light reflective mica
\nIn the sarsens overhead
\nShines like stars perhaps from Mars

We celebrate the solstice
\nThe shortest day the longest night
\nThe sun is at it’s lowest point
\nAt noon it does invite
\nthe great wheel it is turning
\nGiving, rebirth energy
\nThe white goddess she is
\nWith us
\nhelping us to be<\/p>\n
In a few days with our families
\nWe shall sit beside our fire
\nThe Yule log in the stove no doubt
\nThe flamelets licking higher
\nThe chestnuts and the evergreens
\nThe holly maybe too
\nAnd we Can look out at the fields
\nAnd write an ode or two<\/p>\n
It’s good to be here let me say
\nTo warm each other, we
\nExpel our breath and wonder
\nWhether we shall see
\nA better year ahead of us
\nAt Imbolc we again
