Max began his journey
\nto Summerland today
\nHe left the cold of Winter
\nto venture on his way
\nEarlier this morning
\nI kind of said goodbye
\nHe Was lying close to Sable
\nAnd he looked me in the eye<\/p>\n
I patted him and Sable
\nand cast
\nA purple tent
\nover them both I am not sure why
\nBut clearly it was mean’t<\/p>\n
This morning I just found him
\nSable at his side
\nShe raised her paw and told me
\nMax dear Max has died<\/p>\n
He looked peaceful
\ncurled up
\nlying softly there
\nIn a lasting solitude
\nHis soul already there.<\/p>\n
He had a heart of gold
\nDid Max
\nA really
\nsoulful boy
\nSimple ways but was ablaze
\nWith every kind of joy<\/p>\n
I found a box and have lined it
\nAnd this will be his place
\nAnd I will bury him in the garden
\nWhere he used to chase
\nButterflies and bees sometimes
\nThis place will be where
\nHe can see me from my window
\nWhen he comes back there<\/p>\n
