The rarest smallest dolphin
\nIn all the world today
\nLives off of the North Island
\nIn New Zealand
\nAnd From what they say
\nThey are really joyful characters
\nWho find the need to play
\nWith seaweed and love blowing bubbles
\nTheir coloration grey
\nWith white flames
\nAnd a sloping snout
\nA pretty little soul
\nIn shore and around the mouths of rivers
\nBut sadly a heavy toll
\nOf casualties among them
\nThe gill nets are a pain
\nTrawlers catch them sometimes
\nAnd pollution causes strain
\nBoat strikes and of course debris
\nCan cause A lot of woe
\nMothers like to stay with
\nCalves
\nAt least for a year or so
\nThe Demi god hero Maui
\nHauled up Te ika Maui
\nIn his amazing waka
\nSo the stories say<\/p>\n
With 50 or so left alive
\nWe need people to try
\nAnd save this little dolphin
\nWhich is really why
\nGreat care is needed actually
\nFor their low productive rate
\nIs causing us great anguish
\nAnd we are getting in a state
\nThey swim down to the sea bed
\nFor little fishes there
\nand like a squid occasionally
\nAll part of their weekly fare
\nHelp us now to help them
