home is where the heart is<\/span><\/p>\n and my heart was always here<\/p>\n its\u00a0where my folks shared \u00a0everything<\/span><\/p>\n for me it seemed so clear<\/p>\n <\/p>\n this was our home together<\/p>\n a warm basket by the stairs<\/p>\n pi water in the kitchen<\/p>\n and they tended to my affairs<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I didn’t want for anything<\/p>\n my food was always there<\/p>\n always fresh and tasty<\/p>\n I never had a care<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n and, no interference<\/p>\n self determination<\/p>\n they were so bohemian<\/p>\n this was their creation<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n our home was really comfy<\/p>\n and happy so I thought<\/p>\n he was a gentle artist<\/p>\n and both kids did their sport<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n then one day it happened<\/p>\n a loud knock on the door<\/p>\n some men with great big lorries<\/p>\n they were gruff<\/p>\n I was not sure<\/p>\n <\/p>\n i high tailed out of there at speed<\/p>\n not knowing what to think<\/p>\n the men came in and started loading<\/p>\n stuff, \u00a0even the pink<\/p>\n <\/p>\n bedding that mum gave me was thrown inside<\/p>\n their truck<\/p>\n they kicked my basket down the hall<\/p>\n and squeezed my rubber duck<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n they were moving everything<\/p>\n what was it all about<\/p>\n the family wasn’t anywhere<\/p>\n and the boss man could he shout<\/p>\n <\/p>\n they cleared the house in a morning<\/p>\n and boarded up the door<\/p>\n they boarded up the windows<\/p>\n and drove off<\/p>\n and I wasnt sure<\/p>\n <\/p>\n why all this had happened<\/p>\n where was my family they<\/p>\n must now all come back for me<\/p>\n if they have gone away<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n no food was left no water<\/p>\n nothing left for me<\/p>\n hours passed days passed<\/p>\n days and nights<\/p>\n where was my family<\/p>\n <\/p>\n how could I survive this<\/p>\n why had they just forgot<\/p>\n I was part of their family too<\/p>\n and I loved them a lot<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n I caught some mice and ate a while<\/p>\n but realized that that if I<\/p>\n was now alone in this big world<\/p>\n I’d really have to try<\/p>\n <\/p>\n and get by on less food and drink<\/p>\n and take it when I could<\/p>\n and live more in the parkland over yonder<\/p>\n which was good<\/p>\n <\/p>\n over there more action<\/p>\n and reaction but then I<\/p>\n came back every night to sleep on the front step<\/p>\n and to cry<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I cry a lot inside myself<\/p>\n most humans do not know<\/p>\n they go about their own routine<\/p>\n and us cats are down below<\/p>\n <\/p>\n they cannot see us sadly<\/p>\n not unless they stoop<\/p>\n or crawl about the floor some do<\/p>\n or unless they spill the soup<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n so I ‘ve laid here for some weeks now<\/p>\n and nobody came by<\/p>\n then one day a van stopped outside<\/p>\n and a women and a guy<\/p>\n <\/p>\n took me to the centre<\/p>\n where they look after me<\/p>\n but I still wonder what became<\/p>\n of my own family<\/p>\n <\/p>\n they just upped and left me<\/p>\n that was a bitter blow<\/p>\n when you want so much to be loved<\/p>\n and finally you know<\/p>\n <\/p>\n that nobody did love you<\/p>\n that nobody did care<\/p>\n the fact that you gave your heart to them<\/p>\n made no odds, \u00a0 so there!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n at least you’ve landed on your feet<\/p>\n at least someones around<\/p>\n with the realization that you were born<\/p>\n and in pity you were drowned<\/p>\n <\/p>\n nobody will love you<\/p>\n nobody is there<\/p>\n you were just unfortunate<\/p>\n chin up and be aware<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I am aware<\/p>\n I am aware<\/p>\n really I am but I<\/p>\n look at other families<\/p>\n some that live close by<\/p>\n <\/p>\n and I envy their existence<\/p>\n I just couldn’t see<\/p>\n I gave my heart to all of them<\/p>\n and they flung it back at me<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n t<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" home is where the heart is and my heart was always here its\u00a0where my folks shared \u00a0everything for me it seemed so clear this was our home together a warm basket by the stairs pi water in the kitchen … Continue reading
