I am only young<\/p>\n
so I can remember<\/p>\n
being broken in<\/p>\n
being tied down tortured<\/p>\n
by those men of sin<\/p>\n
how they hurt me<\/p>\n
how I cried<\/p>\n
every single day<\/p>\n
how they hurt my mother too<\/p>\n
until she passed away<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
now I am in a circus<\/p>\n
a travelling kind of show<\/p>\n
where all of us are prisoners<\/p>\n
we all don’t want to know<\/p>\n
no rest at all<\/p>\n
no care at all<\/p>\n
and bill hooked sometimes too<\/p>\n
look at him he is carrying it<\/p>\n
and he does use it , you<\/p>\n
might not think \u00a0that a bull hook<\/p>\n
is right to stick in me<\/p>\n
but often he does<\/p>\n
do that and I am frightened<\/p>\n
actually<\/p>\n
and so I just do what he asks<\/p>\n
sit up like some fool<\/p>\n
this is what the humans make us do<\/p>\n
it does appal<\/p>\n
any thinking caring person<\/p>\n
the problem is that they<\/p>\n
do not \u00a0come to circuses<\/p>\n
they stay out of the way<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
its the daft ones who don’t care a damn<\/p>\n
who bring the kids along<\/p>\n
they cannot understand that we<\/p>\n
dont do tricks its all wrong<\/p>\n
my scars are often covered up<\/p>\n
I suffer sometimes so<\/p>\n
when they get infected<\/p>\n
thats when the pain does grow<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
and sitting on my back legs<\/p>\n
its not what ele’s do<\/p>\n
and no one \u00a0seems to care about us<\/p>\n
perhaps people like you<\/p>\n
but no one else can hear<\/p>\n
or see me wipe \u00a0away my tears<\/p>\n
please boycott the circus<\/p>\n
the travelling show where fears<\/p>\n
waltz through every trailer<\/p>\n
and every tent and cage<\/p>\n
we are being tortured<\/p>\n
that shouldn’t be hard to gauge<\/p>\n
