\na blue sky as a backdrop
\nfor the myriad of thrills
\nthe oranges, the crimson, the purples
\nand the blue
\nimages of beauty
\nin almost every hue
\nonto the Palm Valley
\nwhere those cabbage palms
\ndo grow
\nNow popular in the Isle of Man
\nbut killed by frost and snow
\nOnto Alice Springs
\nand the Macdonnell ranges
\nthe centre of Australia
\nwe’re here
\nin the land of the ” aranda”
\nthe indiegenous ones
\nwho kept this area going
\nwith their cheer
\nUntil the Telegraph turned up
\nto publicize
\nAlice just 2 hours from Uluru
\nI never thought it worth my while
\nto see the great red ediface
\nfor to climb it was something I’d never do
\nToo much we’ve taken from the aboriginie
\nAnd this sacred site of there’s
\nwe must not climb
