How many animals cruelty cases<\/p>\n
do we see \u00a0each day<\/p>\n
hundreds of them<\/p>\n
all that angst<\/p>\n
and some pass away<\/p>\n

the perpetrators some get charged<\/p>\n
and others get away<\/p>\n
but what of the little victims<\/p>\n
who with their bodies pay<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
this case in mind happened in Greece<\/p>\n
a kitten was attacked<\/p>\n
brutally beaten around the head<\/p>\n
everything was stacked<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
up against the little soul<\/p>\n
its psyche torn a’sunder<\/p>\n
beaten by a full grown man<\/p>\n
really we have to wonder<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
how it can now face the world<\/p>\n
and how it sees its life<\/p>\n
every time it sees a man<\/p>\n
it will relive that \u00a0strife<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the pressure on that baby<\/p>\n
its baggage and its woe<\/p>\n
this might have been one incident<\/p>\n
but inside \u00a0it will grow<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the victims are forgotten<\/p>\n
nobody gives a hoot<\/p>\n
and there are so many victims<\/p>\n
with grave fear at their root<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the attackers get a telling \u00a0off and maybe a \u00a0fine<\/p>\n
but the torrent of abuse<\/p>\n
and hurt they don’t pay for down the line<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

its mouth and jaw<\/p>\n
was smashed<\/p>\n
the agony just must have been<\/p>\n
terrible<\/p>\n
it flashed<\/p>\n
in my mind the lasting shock<\/p>\n
it probably never will<\/p>\n
wipe that event out of its mind<\/p>\n
this effect does chill<\/p>\n
every single hour of every day#<\/p>\n
where ere it goes<\/p>\n
it will recall the injuries<\/p>\n
and that bastard<\/p>\n
for it knows<\/p>\n
others might be out there<\/p>\n
to repeat the same<\/p>\n
and so<\/p>\n
he becomes a life long victim<\/p>\n
and the stress may even grow<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
developing a hatred for men<\/p>\n
which isn’t fair<\/p>\n
not to men that love cats<\/p>\n
that are more aware<\/p>\n
the malice it can come out<\/p>\n
any time of day<\/p>\n
and all because one bastard<\/p>\n
hurt and made him pay<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
an animal has learned to trust<\/p>\n
and hopes that gradually<\/p>\n
they have a working relationship<\/p>\n
which \u00a0is played out happily<\/p>\n
but if theres unrefinement<\/p>\n
and boorishment \u00a0about<\/p>\n
who know what will happen<\/p>\n
there may be inner doubt<\/p>\n
and this can upset the apple cart<\/p>\n
and cause friction to occur<\/p>\n
a silent miaow<\/p>\n
