We have responsibilities<\/p>\n
the onus is on us<\/p>\n
its true being of equine descent<\/p>\n
a duty to discuss<\/p>\n
a kind of code of honour<\/p>\n
and ethic if you will<\/p>\n
we must stay conscientious<\/p>\n
and exert whatever skill<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
jumping can be dangerous<\/p>\n
the ground<\/p>\n
the height<\/p>\n
all can<\/p>\n
bring its share of perils<\/p>\n
no matter how we plan<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
being ridden fiercely<\/p>\n
by anger \u00a0can create<\/p>\n
a feeling of such added stress<\/p>\n
its something that I hate<\/p>\n
participation in a hunt<\/p>\n
a vixen possibly<\/p>\n
evoking an added boisterousness<\/p>\n
that the world at large can see<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the laws an ass its often said<\/p>\n
about the hunting ban<\/p>\n
but as an animal involved in it<\/p>\n
really when they can<\/p>\n
ride like hell they do it<\/p>\n
and get upset of course<\/p>\n
about these so called\u00a0know alls<\/span><\/p>\n the sab’s yes I’m a horse<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I hate the thought of hunting<\/p>\n another earthling soul<\/p>\n frightening her an<\/p>\n and chasing her<\/p>\n when she’s the chosen goal<\/p>\n to let the dogs catch up with her<\/p>\n and tear her limb from limb<\/p>\n and all of this is so called sport<\/p>\n and \u00a0often on a whim<\/p>\n <\/p>\n the undergrowth is rushing passed<\/p>\n his buttocks hot on me<\/p>\n he rides \u00a0with lots of fury<\/p>\n I suppose it has to be<\/p>\n but the other day<\/p>\n it happened<\/p>\n he made me run her down<\/p>\n its something we don’t do as horses<\/p>\n with our weight we drown<\/p>\n <\/p>\n a body smash and badger it<\/p>\n this victim she was there<\/p>\n sabbing people \u00a0 call it now<\/p>\n the equine realms<\/p>\n we share<\/p>\n littered<\/p>\n with the broken \u00a0legs of those<\/p>\n who swerved to try<\/p>\n and avoid just any impact<\/p>\n with someone who might lie<\/p>\n <\/p>\n but she was standing in the field<\/p>\n and I was galloping hard<\/p>\n and really I rode through her<\/p>\n the crunch would leave her scarred<\/p>\n it really left me seething<\/p>\n skittish in a way<\/p>\n impetuous behaviour<\/p>\n in the cold light of the day<\/p>\n <\/p>\n she lay there like a broken doll<\/p>\n suffering in pain<\/p>\n probably bleeding deep inside<\/p>\n I looked at her again<\/p>\n challenged by the trauma<\/p>\n the unpleasantness and grief<\/p>\n she had an appalling injury<\/p>\n that was my belief<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I was pulled up away from her<\/p>\n full up with unease<\/p>\n I just felt deplorable<\/p>\n would anyone appease<\/p>\n me, a pat, a calming word<\/p>\n nothing \u00a0and all I got<\/p>\n was lots more in the pain stakes<\/p>\n I just felt Id been shot\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n led back to the stables<\/p>\n saddle off and I<\/p>\n stood there feeling very sore<\/p>\n and of course the guy<\/p>\n <\/p>\n had led me on to do it<\/p>\n and bloody run her through<\/p>\n he could have bloody killed her<\/p>\n which was not the thing to do<\/p>\n <\/p>\n what is done in anger<\/p>\n often we regret<\/p>\n I was irreconcilable<\/p>\n drowning in the sweat<\/p>\n now dripping off my belly<\/p>\n and falling in the straw<\/p>\n the tedium of knowing<\/p>\n perhaps for evermore<\/p>\n <\/p>\n that I had just participated<\/p>\n in the injury<\/p>\n bravely standing in the field<\/p>\n where she shouldn’t be<\/p>\n that’s the excuse they are using<\/p>\n but its, not my excuse<\/p>\n it all sounds so forbidding<\/p>\n perhaps a kind of ruse<\/p>\n <\/p>\n but for me I worry so much<\/p>\n about the victim, she<\/p>\n must be thwart with painfulness<\/p>\n where ever she now be<\/p>\n in the hospital<\/p>\n in her home<\/p>\n wherever she now be<\/p>\n going through such agony<\/p>\n drugged up take that from me<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I was really hurting<\/p>\n I was suffering too<\/p>\n I laid down and I thought a bit<\/p>\n about what I was going to do<\/p>\n we horses get no pleasure<\/p>\n from trampling on you<\/p>\n we know it causes trauma<\/p>\n what else would it do<\/p>\n <\/p>\n that loathing born from anger<\/p>\n that detestation for<\/p>\n a women who was innocent<\/p>\n of that now I was sure<\/p>\n just doing what she wanted to<\/p>\n prevent the fox as I<\/p>\n try to do by slowing down<\/p>\n know one wants her to die<\/p>\n the wrathfulness the rancour<\/p>\n we feel it every time<\/p>\n as they get piqued<\/p>\n and agitated<\/p>\n and the temperatures kind of climb<\/p>\n the virulence and enmity<\/p>\n the malice around here<\/p>\n the hunters with their entourage<\/p>\n all fuelled up on fear<\/p>\n <\/p>\n they seem wholly uncharitable<\/p>\n vindictive all along<\/p>\n handing out their pamphlets<\/p>\n we know we don’t belong<\/p>\n only the fox and the badger<\/p>\n and the deer they truly are<\/p>\n born to live in forests wild<\/p>\n that’s is where they star<\/p>\n we are in the wrong place<\/p>\n at the wrong time and the pain<\/p>\n the sabbing angels<\/p>\n suffer<\/p>\n I share time and again<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We have responsibilities the onus is on us its true being of equine descent a duty to discuss a kind of code of honour and ethic if you will we must stay conscientious and exert whatever skill jumping can … Continue reading
