Of all the great animals out there<\/p>\n
the elephant does comes to mind<\/p>\n
a giant so powerful yet passive<\/p>\n
and circus has left them behind<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they lived in great families together<\/p>\n
respect was a keyword and they<\/p>\n
walked very far they followed their star<\/p>\n
miles and miles sometimes each day<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
so to catch them \u00a0confine them<\/p>\n
\u00a0on a chain in a truck<\/span><\/p>\n travelling \u00a0tethered to somewhere<\/p>\n that’s when they know that their luck<\/p>\n <\/p>\n has flown<\/p>\n and in many ways they<\/p>\n bring on their dose of dissension<\/p>\n it helps them to get through each day<\/p>\n <\/p>\n proudly they stand with such grandeur<\/p>\n they are remarkable souls<\/p>\n but chained up and beaten<\/p>\n it leads to some hatred<\/p>\n having to take on fresh roles<\/p>\n <\/p>\n in their hearts they are<\/p>\n in disagreement<\/p>\n confused really<\/p>\n ready to feel<\/p>\n bull hooks hurt so much<\/p>\n when used in a rage<\/p>\n and they are used<\/p>\n and the scars they are real<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n not just on the skin<\/p>\n but within their big \u00a0hearts<\/p>\n the memory of them<\/p>\n is there<\/p>\n it can never leave<\/p>\n an elephants soul<\/p>\n they live with a lasting despair<\/p>\n <\/p>\n and a kind of defiance<\/p>\n and out dare of sorts<\/p>\n it just sits and festers<\/p>\n in the back of their thoughts<\/p>\n <\/p>\n its a challenge they face<\/p>\n in a circus where they<\/p>\n are expected to do tricks<\/p>\n and expected to pay<\/p>\n <\/p>\n to withstand \u00a0to resist<\/p>\n in the struggle abroad<\/p>\n a submission of weakness<\/p>\n they cannot afford<\/p>\n <\/p>\n they succumb<\/p>\n to the shadows<\/p>\n the \u00a0mean violence too<\/p>\n trying to reconcile<\/p>\n what people do<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n its pure \u00a0resignation<\/p>\n surrendering to<\/p>\n the man with \u00a0the bull hook<\/p>\n the ringmaster who<\/p>\n <\/p>\n creates this adversity<\/p>\n every day<\/p>\n the wretched confusion<\/p>\n that does tend to stay<\/p>\n <\/p>\n in the heart and the mind<\/p>\n the legitimacy<\/p>\n chained up for hours<\/span><\/p>\n by the masterful trainer<\/p>\n with \u00a0his new found powers<\/p>\n <\/p>\n how he put his foot down<\/p>\n his tyrannical stance<\/p>\n harsh and exacting<\/p>\n to brutally chance<\/p>\n <\/p>\n a rest can be dangerous<\/p>\n for \u00a0much can be done<\/p>\n when you are chained up<\/p>\n and stuck in the sun<\/p>\n <\/p>\n They are the masters<\/p>\n your their protege<\/p>\n you have no freedom<\/p>\n you have no say<\/p>\n <\/p>\n you could try to escape<\/p>\n break those chains and be gone<\/p>\n but the guns they would blaze<\/p>\n and no longer upon<\/p>\n <\/p>\n this mortal coil<\/p>\n would you breathe in the air<\/p>\n you’d<\/p>\n be lost in a shower of steel bullets<\/p>\n there<\/p>\n and who wants that end<\/p>\n so submission must be<\/p>\n the acceptance of prison<\/p>\n and base cruelty<\/p>\n <\/p>\n there is never a compromise<\/p>\n it has to be<\/p>\n you are the servant<\/p>\n it happened to me<\/p>\n doing the tricks<\/p>\n and just staying calm<\/p>\n anything else<\/p>\n and you will come to harm<\/p>\n <\/p>\n so the elephants go within themselves they<\/p>\n suffer in silence<\/p>\n acquiring the way<\/p>\n to give of themselves<\/p>\n and expect nothing back<\/p>\n and hope above all else<\/p>\n they don’t get a whack<\/p>\n <\/p>\n the circus is no place for animals they<\/p>\n should be in the jungle<\/p>\n far far away<\/p>\n from the circus the show rings<\/p>\n the evil that’s there<\/p>\n we are thieves to entrap them<\/p>\n so so unaware<\/p>\n <\/p>\n of the subjection<\/p>\n that we put them through<\/p>\n we get on with our lives<\/p>\n and expect they do too<\/p>\n <\/p>\n but it builds they resent it<\/p>\n like cancer it grips<\/p>\n their soul and their lives<\/p>\n and their true meaning slips<\/p>\n <\/p>\n into an unconscious state<\/p>\n of affairs<\/p>\n their sweet responsiveness<\/p>\n it kind of scares<\/p>\n <\/p>\n it becomes lethargy<\/p>\n it becomes pain<\/p>\n a cold cynicism<\/p>\n that life is in vain<\/p>\n <\/p>\n spiritless they soon descend<\/p>\n into grief<\/p>\n impenetrable<\/p>\n and there’s no relief<\/p>\n its a lasting torture<\/p>\n callous and true<\/p>\n till they go to the the Summerland<\/p>\n which some will do<\/p>\n <\/p>\n the circus is no place<\/p>\n for spirited souls<\/p>\n its a hell on earth prison<\/p>\n run by dark arse oles<\/p>\n frequented by pikeys<\/p>\n and low life and those<\/p>\n ticketless yobs<\/p>\n oft in the throes<\/p>\n of some evil doing<\/p>\n some criminal stuff<\/p>\n for the ele<\/p>\n the life of the circus is rough<\/p>\n <\/p>\n animal rights<\/p>\n takes the stance of their king<\/p>\n hopeful that one day<\/p>\n its going to bring<\/p>\n freedom<\/p>\n its coming but governments say<\/p>\n they will ban wild animals<\/p>\n then run away<\/p>\n from the truth from the responsibility they<\/p>\n have<\/p>\n and that is the sadness today<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n
