slaughterhouses everywhere<\/p>\n
are killing behind closed doors<\/p>\n
millions of animals throats slashed<\/p>\n
to almost no applause<\/p>\n
in Japan they do the killing<\/p>\n
out in the open where<\/p>\n
school children can be walking by<\/p>\n
and can absorb all that despair<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
in many ways they are different<\/p>\n
from what we do back here<\/p>\n
slaughtering on the pavement<\/p>\n
accepting the avid fear<\/p>\n
pigtails and the satchels<\/p>\n
very little girls<\/p>\n
forced \u00a0to see and hear the pain<\/p>\n
through their school girl curls<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
sounding rods were<\/p>\n
utilized<\/p>\n
out there in the sea<\/p>\n
which interfered with their sonar<\/p>\n
poor souls frantically<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
calling to each other<\/p>\n
mothers to their calves<\/p>\n
nobody abandons<\/p>\n
any wounded dolphins<\/p>\n
halves<\/p>\n
will go to her<\/p>\n
the other half protect her if they can<\/p>\n
unlike human beings<\/p>\n
if they have to die they plan<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
to die and that’s their feeling<\/p>\n
they never leave someone<\/p>\n
drowning in dire peril<\/p>\n
none of them will run<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they are worthy spirits<\/p>\n
sentient and calm<\/p>\n
loving towards their offspring<\/p>\n
no one will chance their arm<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they love and in fact they care so much<\/p>\n
and of course it shows<\/p>\n
but the Japanese are merciless<\/p>\n
which of course does pose<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
a dilemma in the port of Taiji<\/p>\n
for thousands of them die<\/p>\n
pithed and cut up violently<\/p>\n
with pain levels so high<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
wrapped up in resentment<\/p>\n
in agony for they<\/p>\n
are as sentient as the day is long<\/p>\n
and there’s little one can say<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
out come the machete’s<\/p>\n
to carve through bodies, they<\/p>\n
suffer how they suffer<\/p>\n
blood \u00a0pouring away<\/p>\n
flapping slapping crapping<\/p>\n
the terror its all there<\/p>\n
under tarps and on the streets<\/p>\n
adding to the despair<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Japan displays the carnage<\/p>\n
turns the blue sea red<\/p>\n
cuts the dolphins out in the streets<\/p>\n
and we are then led<\/p>\n
to experience the horror<\/p>\n
to listen as they die<\/p>\n
to watch them flapping frantically<\/p>\n
and staring with their big eye<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
slowly suffocating<\/p>\n
shuddering abroad<\/p>\n
convulsing you can feel their pain<\/p>\n
don’t get over awed<\/p>\n
don’t look away<\/p>\n
you have to<\/p>\n
watch this carnage play<\/p>\n
out across Japan and in the cove<\/p>\n
and in every bay<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the fishermen are numb to it<\/p>\n
their faces glazed and pale<\/p>\n
the international pressure<\/p>\n
the really awful tale<\/p>\n
that comes out onto television<\/p>\n
of dolphins in their prime<\/p>\n
slaughtered in the water<\/p>\n
yes time after time<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
from \u00a0September<\/p>\n
through to March<\/p>\n
their deaths go up to 20 thou<\/p>\n
very resilient and sentient souls<\/p>\n
and most of us ask how?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
why is this still happening<\/p>\n
when the worlds eyes bear down on<\/p>\n
Taiji and its blood money<\/p>\n
and the victims that are now gone<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
stolen from their families<\/p>\n
torn to pieces by<\/p>\n
machetes raging at them<\/p>\n
as many of them cry<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
as many of them splutter<\/p>\n
they utter dying calls<\/p>\n
as many of the matter<\/p>\n
but not so fisher fools<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
nasty ugly fisher folk<\/p>\n
who use the time to kill<\/p>\n
to render them in the death throes<\/p>\n
till their blood does spill<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
does pour out of each being<\/p>\n
and stain the beach and waves<\/p>\n
with sinew wrenched from deep within<\/p>\n
to create these watery graves<\/p>\n
