{"id":17478,"date":"2014-09-04T21:02:10","date_gmt":"2014-09-04T21:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=17478"},"modified":"2014-09-04T21:22:10","modified_gmt":"2014-09-04T21:22:10","slug":"dolphins-and-their-terrible-slaughter-in-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2014\/09\/dolphins-and-their-terrible-slaughter-in-japan\/","title":{"rendered":"Dolphins and their terrible slaughter in Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>slaughterhouses everywhere<\/p>\n<p>are killing behind closed doors<\/p>\n<p>millions of animals throats slashed<\/p>\n<p>to almost no applause<\/p>\n<p>in Japan they do the killing<\/p>\n<p>out in the open where<\/p>\n<p>school children can be walking by<\/p>\n<p>and can absorb all that despair<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>in many ways they are different<\/p>\n<p>from what we do back here<\/p>\n<p>slaughtering on the pavement<\/p>\n<p>accepting the avid fear<\/p>\n<p>pigtails and the satchels<\/p>\n<p>very little girls<\/p>\n<p>forced \u00a0to see and hear the pain<\/p>\n<p>through their school girl curls<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>sounding rods were<\/p>\n<p>utilized<\/p>\n<p>out there in the sea<\/p>\n<p>which interfered with their sonar<\/p>\n<p>poor souls frantically<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>calling to each other<\/p>\n<p>mothers to their calves<\/p>\n<p>nobody abandons<\/p>\n<p>any wounded dolphins<\/p>\n<p>halves<\/p>\n<p>will go to her<\/p>\n<p>the other half protect her if they can<\/p>\n<p>unlike human beings<\/p>\n<p>if they have to die they plan<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>to die and that&#8217;s their feeling<\/p>\n<p>they never leave someone<\/p>\n<p>drowning in dire peril<\/p>\n<p>none of them will run<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>they are worthy spirits<\/p>\n<p>sentient and calm<\/p>\n<p>loving towards their offspring<\/p>\n<p>no one will chance their arm<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>they love and in fact they care so much<\/p>\n<p>and of course it shows<\/p>\n<p>but the Japanese are merciless<\/p>\n<p>which of course does pose<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>a dilemma in the port of Taiji<\/p>\n<p>for thousands of them die<\/p>\n<p>pithed and cut up violently<\/p>\n<p>with pain levels so high<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>wrapped up in resentment<\/p>\n<p>in agony for they<\/p>\n<p>are as sentient as the day is long<\/p>\n<p>and there&#8217;s little one can say<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>out come the machete&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>to carve through bodies, they<\/p>\n<p>suffer how they suffer<\/p>\n<p>blood \u00a0pouring away<\/p>\n<p>flapping slapping crapping<\/p>\n<p>the terror its all there<\/p>\n<p>under tarps and on the streets<\/p>\n<p>adding to the despair<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Japan displays the carnage<\/p>\n<p>turns the blue sea red<\/p>\n<p>cuts the dolphins out in the streets<\/p>\n<p>and we are then led<\/p>\n<p>to experience the horror<\/p>\n<p>to listen as they die<\/p>\n<p>to watch them flapping frantically<\/p>\n<p>and staring with their big eye<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>slowly suffocating<\/p>\n<p>shuddering abroad<\/p>\n<p>convulsing you can feel their pain<\/p>\n<p>don&#8217;t get over awed<\/p>\n<p>don&#8217;t look away<\/p>\n<p>you have to<\/p>\n<p>watch this carnage play<\/p>\n<p>out across Japan and in the cove<\/p>\n<p>and in every bay<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>the fishermen are numb to it<\/p>\n<p>their faces glazed and pale<\/p>\n<p>the international pressure<\/p>\n<p>the really awful tale<\/p>\n<p>that comes out onto television<\/p>\n<p>of dolphins in their prime<\/p>\n<p>slaughtered in the water<\/p>\n<p>yes time after time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>from \u00a0September<\/p>\n<p>through to March<\/p>\n<p>their deaths go up to 20 thou<\/p>\n<p>very resilient and sentient souls<\/p>\n<p>and most of us ask how?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>why is this still happening<\/p>\n<p>when the worlds eyes bear down on<\/p>\n<p>Taiji and its blood money<\/p>\n<p>and the victims that are now gone<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>stolen from their families<\/p>\n<p>torn to pieces by<\/p>\n<p>machetes raging at them<\/p>\n<p>as many of them cry<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>as many of them splutter<\/p>\n<p>they utter dying calls<\/p>\n<p>as many of the matter<\/p>\n<p>but not so fisher fools<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>nasty ugly fisher folk<\/p>\n<p>who use the time to kill<\/p>\n<p>to render them in the death throes<\/p>\n<p>till their blood does spill<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>does pour out of each being<\/p>\n<p>and stain the beach and waves<\/p>\n<p>with sinew wrenched from deep within<\/p>\n<p>to create these watery graves<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>slaughterhouses everywhere are killing behind closed doors millions of animals throats slashed to almost no applause in Japan they do the killing out in the open where school children can be walking by and can absorb all that despair &nbsp;
