despite each slippery slope<\/p>\n
lots of expectation<\/p>\n
and a deal of support<\/p>\n
petitions signed and poems penned<\/p>\n
and lots of lovely thought<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
auspicious in so many ways<\/p>\n
but worried by the news<\/p>\n
that comes through social media<\/p>\n
and sometimes can defuse<\/p>\n
the fire within our spirit<\/p>\n
that keeps us feeling well<\/p>\n
despite some dreadful stories<\/p>\n
and the animals in Hell<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
defeated by the corporate<\/p>\n
who now increase their share<\/p>\n
whether it be the forest<\/p>\n
the orangutans aware<\/p>\n
the dolphins in the ocean<\/p>\n
the Orca at seaworld<\/p>\n
the monkeys still in Air France holds<\/p>\n
the kangaroo’s heing hurled<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
every blooming which way<\/p>\n
the Elephants in zoo’s<\/p>\n
Arturo in Mendoza<\/p>\n
with his share of the blues<\/p>\n
the bulls those proud young stalwarts<\/p>\n
who seemingly confirm<\/p>\n
to take on countless matadors<\/p>\n
