Born in a zone<\/p>\n
where fallout is rife<\/p>\n
where no human dares<\/p>\n
to take on the strife<\/p>\n
of poisonous soil<\/p>\n
of nuclear air<\/p>\n
of radioactive<\/p>\n
woe everywhere<\/p>\n
in these wild reaches<\/p>\n
the wild life are born<\/p>\n
they live and they die<\/p>\n
clearly they are torn<\/p>\n
between life expectancy<\/p>\n
and the great will<\/p>\n
of Nature to prosper<\/p>\n
despite man’s \u00a0sick spill<\/p>\n
1986 saw the great meltdown<\/p>\n
the forests the marshes<\/p>\n
in it did drown<\/p>\n
400 hiroshima’s<\/p>\n
took the full force<\/p>\n
400,000 souls moved<\/p>\n
yes of course<\/p>\n
contamination it spread far and wide<\/p>\n
but what of the wildlife<\/p>\n
living inside<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the great exclusion zone<\/p>\n
where do they go<\/p>\n
Chernobyl’s wolves<\/p>\n
their numbers grow<\/p>\n
denser and denser<\/p>\n
seemingly they<\/p>\n
are coping without man<\/p>\n
to hunt them today<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
11,000 sq miles<\/p>\n
where no man can go<\/p>\n
and this great wilderness<\/p>\n
begins to show<\/p>\n
the plants they are out there<\/p>\n
the trees out there too<\/p>\n
and the wildlife still out there<\/p>\n
concomitant, view<\/p>\n
all seems the same<\/p>\n
just no man dares to be<\/p>\n
anywhere unless protected<\/p>\n
for he<\/p>\n
will realize rapidly inside the zone<\/p>\n
contamination exists<\/p>\n
worse than was known<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
but the wild life exists<\/p>\n
in its cosmic attire<\/p>\n
it lives and its dies<\/p>\n
in the heat of the fire<\/p>\n
despite the vile rain<\/p>\n
and the evils and sin<\/p>\n
still they live peacefully<\/p>\n
all labouring<\/p>\n
under no misapprehensions<\/p>\n
instinctively they<\/p>\n
live out their lives<\/p>\n
in the glare of dismay<\/p>\n
they have not an inkling<\/p>\n
of what was before<\/p>\n
just the absence of man<\/p>\n
and a life to adore<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
perhaps Mother Nature<\/p>\n
had plans for her brood<\/p>\n
perhaps she can help them<\/p>\n
and possibly allude<\/p>\n
to a new way of thinking<\/p>\n
a new way of life<\/p>\n
creating \u00a0a balance<\/p>\n
out of what was strife<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
a coming together of species<\/p>\n
and we<\/p>\n
see a natural re wilding<\/p>\n
a posture that be<\/p>\n
able to withstand the<\/p>\n
influence we<\/p>\n
know to be harmful<\/p>\n
