who needs us right away<\/p>\n

the problem is we are up against<\/p>\n
the rich the prominent lot<\/p>\n
the grouse shooters<\/p>\n
the land owners<\/p>\n
and what a lot they have got<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
its all about big money<\/p>\n
how the price of land<\/p>\n
increases if there’s Grouse to shoot<\/p>\n
which some don’t understand<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Heather moorlands are the environment<\/p>\n
where these birds require<\/p>\n
less arrogance and ignorance<\/p>\n
and less of the fire<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
burning down the heather<\/p>\n
prevents the nesting sites<\/p>\n
controlling pests with chemicals<\/p>\n
means the harrier fights<\/p>\n
everyone and sundry<\/p>\n
and cannot exist here<\/p>\n
if the habitat is ruined<\/p>\n
and its food source<\/p>\n
cut<\/p>\n
its clear<\/p>\n
Land Owners want more Grouse around<\/p>\n
they don’t want birds of prey<\/p>\n
killing some off for their food<\/p>\n
which is \u00a0happening today<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
of course the birds are protected<\/p>\n
but what goes on sadly does<\/p>\n
mean that these birds suffer<\/p>\n
for them there is no buzz<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
for them the would be customers<\/p>\n
those shooters let us say<\/p>\n
can be the toffs from DEFRA and perhaps<\/p>\n
the NFA<\/p>\n
and so what chance the Hen Harrier<\/p>\n
competing with this bunch<\/p>\n
who want to bag increased amounts of Grouse<\/p>\n
and thats the crunch<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
drainage ditches more dry soil<\/p>\n
its all against those birds<\/p>\n
and unless we see a change of heart<\/p>\n
then all we will have are words<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
