the malice and the venom<\/p>\n
arguably so<\/p>\n
those wretched fences<\/p>\n
and high high walls<\/p>\n
that with exhaustion<\/p>\n
seem to grow<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
those horses how they suffer<\/p>\n
the persecution seems<\/p>\n
all the training takes its toll<\/p>\n
this is no racing dreams<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
its dangerous and its hostile<\/p>\n
the ruthless do their thing<\/p>\n
the gamblers make their money<\/p>\n
and what does it all bring<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
a bit of gross excitement<\/p>\n
steely grimfaced souls<\/p>\n
the cruelty is obvious<\/p>\n
torture for those goals<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the rich and landed gentry<\/p>\n
are out there on the rails<\/p>\n
with little understanding<\/p>\n
pity clearly fails<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the horses suffer intolerably<\/p>\n
and many die each year<\/p>\n
they kind of ran their hearts out<\/p>\n
and were finished off I fear<\/p>\n

if you dont win<\/p>\n
the knackers yard<\/p>\n
is where you have to go<\/p>\n
a bullet through your brainbox<\/p>\n
and nothing much to show<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
for all they heady running<\/p>\n
for all that effort you<\/p>\n
gave to win those races<\/p>\n
which you could never do<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
the punters couldnt care less<\/p>\n
some jockeys also \u00a0do say<\/p>\n
everyones replaceable<\/p>\n
so what if some pay<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
its a hard \u00a0dark venue<\/p>\n
a thankless task in fact<\/p>\n
racing \u00a0racing horses<\/p>\n
how does one react<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
its cruelty personified<\/p>\n
the horses give so much<\/p>\n
there is only ever one winner<\/p>\n
and the losers well as such<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
are not given \u00a0a fair shot<\/p>\n
its hard going for sure<\/p>\n
a bullet if you lucky<\/p>\n
if not just blood and gore<\/p>\n
