At Darwin I met Lonnie<\/p>\n
an angel in the airport<\/p>\n
A Jet Star lady told him<\/p>\n
about me<\/p>\n
and up he came<\/p>\n
Full of upbeat banter<\/p>\n
a kind of all year Santa<\/p>\n
A Boarding card<\/p>\n
But would not tell me<\/p>\n
his name.<\/p>\n
\n
He took me to the pat down place<\/p>\n
Where I had to sign a form<\/p>\n
I told them not to squeeze my legs<\/p>\n
They were feverish and warm<\/p>\n
They agreed and they didn’t squeeze them<\/p>\n
and after that ordeal<\/p>\n
I sat and watched others entering<\/p>\n
the “Twilight Zone” for real!<\/p>\n
\n
Then Lonnie came back for me<\/p>\n
and saw me to the plane<\/p>\n
an angel, a real angel<\/p>\n
so caring once again<\/p>\n
Which made me truly realise<\/p>\n
That angels do exist<\/p>\n
They really truly are out there<\/p>\n
Reading to assist<\/p>\n

The shuttle from the Hotel<\/p>\n
alas though paid for came<\/p>\n
But I could not get up its steps<\/p>\n
and a taxi man by name<\/p>\n
Took me for 20 dollars<\/p>\n
The shuttle was no good<\/p>\n
It was frightfully inadequate<\/p>\n
Much worse than it really should<\/p>\n

So to meet up with Dear Lonnie<\/p>\n
and be helped so very much<\/p>\n
Brought faith back to me actually<\/p>\n
