In Darwin it was hot,<\/p>\n
humid and different<\/p>\n
Tropical, a Thai place did provide<\/p>\n
Cold water in a pretty pinkish bottle<\/p>\n
Free of charge<\/p>\n
it so was worth the ride!<\/p>\n
A veggie Laksa<\/p>\n
and a soulful interlude<\/p>\n
No hotel offerred me<\/p>\n
that treat, alas<\/p>\n
It was only blissful eateries<\/p>\n
That gave me what I needed<\/p>\n
The hotels charged<\/p>\n
and their water was crass<\/p>\n
Expecting us to sup<\/p>\n
Out of the bathroom<\/p>\n
All over OZ on them you<\/p>\n
can’t rely<\/p>\n
I went to see the\u00a0 Crocodile shop<\/p>\n
so advertised<\/p>\n
“Come and see the prehistoric souls”<\/p>\n
Thrash about in water<\/p>\n
Till killed for each body part<\/p>\n
No way could I give support<\/p>\n
Those roles just broke my heart<\/p>\n
Letting the iced water<\/p>\n
trickle slowly down my throat<\/p>\n
Helped me get back to the hotel<\/p>\n
it got on my goat<\/p>\n
To think that I spent hundreds<\/p>\n
of dollars for a bed<\/p>\n
and would have to drink<\/p>\n
from the Bathroom<\/p>\n
or pay more which, well led<\/p>\n
me down to the reception<\/p>\n
on the final day<\/p>\n
I got stuck on the low seats<\/p>\n
But an angel there did say<\/p>\n
Can I help you and he did<\/p>\n
with a colleague raised me and<\/p>\n
turned out to be a nurse<\/p>\n
called Sid<\/p>\n
And that made me feel grand<\/p>\n
he helped me swiftly on that day<\/p>\n
and so I then went on my way.<\/p>\n
