Fracking is the pebble<\/p>\n
in the pond<\/p>\n
whose consequences do<\/p>\n
spread out into everybody’s<\/p>\n
conscience<\/p>\n
and into<\/p>\n
their very soul<\/p>\n
the suffering is on the<\/p>\n
grandest scale<\/p>\n
the prophets of a bygone age<\/p>\n
they seriously derail<\/p>\n
cut into our very quick<\/p>\n
and tear just everything we love<\/p>\n
our water, air and how we care<\/p>\n
and share<\/p>\n
stuff from above<\/p>\n
fracking into deep down shale<\/p>\n
creates miasma that<\/p>\n
lurks in each of everyone of us<\/p>\n
for where we are at<\/p>\n
is feeling all the treasure<\/p>\n
of the water that we drink<\/p>\n
the air we breathe<\/p>\n
the world about us<\/p>\n
that we all see, and think<\/p>\n
can all be torn around us<\/p>\n
by the monsters who now come<\/p>\n
with their confounded machinery<\/p>\n
they beat upon a drum<\/p>\n
that sets our hearts a racing<\/p>\n
our \u00a0lungs are choked with dust<\/p>\n
methane haunts our inner self<\/p>\n
with all its cut and thrust<\/p>\n
vile chemicals draw from our soul<\/p>\n
the water of life becomes<\/p>\n
the water of death<\/p>\n
the melancholy<\/p>\n
in us all it numbs<\/p>\n
locked inside each breath<\/p>\n
the environment<\/p>\n
the grass<\/p>\n
the trees<\/p>\n
the fields we’ve come to know<\/p>\n
the flowers the hours<\/p>\n
the gentle breeze<\/p>\n
we as children spent<\/p>\n
in their healthy glow<\/p>\n
are torn a’sunder<\/p>\n
ripped apart<\/p>\n
and of course we know<\/p>\n
everything we share<\/p>\n
is coming down<\/p>\n
about our heels<\/p>\n
and they are not aware of it<\/p>\n
they know not how it feels<\/p>\n
their quest for gas and profit<\/p>\n
blinds them they cant see<\/p>\n
chokes them<\/p>\n
they can’t breathe<\/p>\n
fresh air like you and me<\/p>\n
the blood thats in their body<\/p>\n
is the money and the stress<\/p>\n
the evil that abounds in them<\/p>\n
they do not care a less<\/p>\n
the environment<\/p>\n
the animals<\/p>\n
the pasture land beyond<\/p>\n
its all a fucking fracking pad<\/p>\n
to them<\/p>\n
it is a bond<\/p>\n
they have with nothing natural<\/p>\n
they are monsters in a world<\/p>\n
of gas and oil and chemicals<\/p>\n
in that they have been hurled<\/p>\n
immersed in all that evil<\/p>\n
the grabbing signs are there<\/p>\n
destruction of the finer things in life<\/p>\n
and why we care<\/p>\n
of simplicity and freedom<\/p>\n
just to walk hold hands and cry<\/p>\n
to drink the cold clear water and breathe<\/p>\n
and smile and sigh<\/p>\n
to be in love with living<\/p>\n
to be giving and to know<\/p>\n
that what we have is sacrosanct<\/p>\n
