really have pulled off a coup<\/p>\n
they have worked through the<\/p>\n
activists<\/p>\n
possibly you<\/p>\n
may feel that big store<\/p>\n
down the street is ok<\/p>\n
with its vast stock of pet food<\/p>\n
its spruced up the way<\/p>\n
you and your pets<\/p>\n
can benefit and<\/p>\n
its customer friendly<\/p>\n
they do understand<\/p>\n
clearly the training<\/p>\n
and employment of souls<\/p>\n
is up there its rocking<\/p>\n
and could be \u00a0its poles<\/p>\n
apart from some corporate<\/p>\n
entities who<\/p>\n
don’t invest quite as much<\/p>\n
in it as they should do<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
so its a pretty friendly place<\/p>\n
and the staff try<\/p>\n
they are courteous always<\/p>\n
and clearly apply<\/p>\n
good customer service<\/p>\n
throughout the store<\/p>\n
and really in essence<\/p>\n
who could ask for more<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the rabbits and hamsters<\/p>\n
in a cage in their run<\/p>\n
its a smack in the face<\/p>\n
but what they have done<\/p>\n
is thought very carefully<\/p>\n
how we’d react<\/p>\n
and gone at it truthfully<\/p>\n
with some clear tact<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
its corporate know how<\/p>\n
there’s money to spend<\/p>\n
and they spent it and wisely<\/p>\n
for they are our friend<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Pets at Home<\/p>\n
took the challenge<\/p>\n
the RSPCA and others<\/p>\n
have apparently gone out of their way<\/p>\n
to forget what they thought about<\/p>\n
in the distant past<\/p>\n
and cosy up with them<\/p>\n
and its all happened fast<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
pets in the pet shops<\/p>\n
the puppy mill thing<\/p>\n
a far cry it seems from<\/p>\n
what they now bring<\/p>\n
to the market place<\/p>\n
dressed up as sugar and spice<\/p>\n
and puppy dogs tails<\/p>\n
and everything nice<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
its about conditioning<\/p>\n
thats what they do<\/p>\n
they ramp up the facility<\/p>\n
and take the view<\/p>\n
for me I don’t like it<\/p>\n
its the point of it all<\/p>\n
selling live animals<\/p>\n
for me isn’t cool<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
when I go to the Hemel Store<\/p>\n
it bothers me<\/p>\n
those cute little rabbits<\/p>\n
when the children see<\/p>\n
there’s pressure to buy<\/p>\n
an emotional choice<\/p>\n
should we be faced with<\/p>\n
did we have a voice<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the giant is cracking its knuckles<\/p>\n
and we<\/p>\n
may see more and more<\/p>\n
local zoo’s possibly<\/p>\n
where inmates are for sale<\/p>\n
the progress is fast<\/p>\n
to me its a step too far<\/p>\n
and my thoughts of the past<\/p>\n
come flooding back<\/p>\n
and apparently they<\/p>\n
have announced such<\/p>\n
an increase<\/p>\n
so it is on the way<\/p>\n
