and hearing<\/p>\n
collective yelps<\/p>\n
around the place<\/p>\n
cries of woeful beings<\/p>\n
clearly<\/p>\n
hurting<\/p>\n
the disgrace<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
wholly human<\/p>\n
when love was his<\/p>\n
the world seemed bright<\/p>\n
around his yard<\/p>\n
but a newer younger dog<\/p>\n
was purchased<\/p>\n
some one stronger<\/p>\n
that could guard<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
and so he had to forfeit freedom<\/p>\n
for this cage and that alone<\/p>\n
that mean spirit broke his<\/p>\n
cover<\/p>\n
it was something he hadn’t known<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
was possible<\/p>\n
the human heart was capable<\/p>\n
of evil deed<\/p>\n
the victims lost he’s given up<\/p>\n
wherever else his life may lead<\/p>\n
