even if it goes to plan<\/p>\n
the evil and the consequence is<\/p>\n
brutality that seldom could<\/p>\n
be anything but really shattering<\/p>\n
for onlookers who really should<\/p>\n

realise that what they are seeing<\/p>\n
is frightful no religious man<\/p>\n
should ever indulge in this vile slaughter<\/p>\n
from the moment that it began<\/p>\n
I realised their souls were vanquished<\/p>\n
their spirits broken<\/p>\n
their sickness cast<\/p>\n
that animal was drenched in anger<\/p>\n
torn to ribbons and I aghast<\/p>\n

to what I witnessed<\/p>\n
it will never<\/p>\n
leave my mind where ere I go<\/p>\n
the cruelty it took its toll<\/p>\n
as its eyes, its throat, its heart<\/p>\n
did show<\/p>\n

that crimson fountain<\/p>\n
gushed for ever<\/p>\n
all its life force<\/p>\n
splashing down<\/p>\n
to roars of human<\/p>\n
so called people<\/p>\n
such religion<\/p>\n
it does drown<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
out the fervour<\/p>\n
and the darkness<\/p>\n
all around the victim I<\/p>\n
saw a spirit climb and falter<\/p>\n
and still have tears<\/p>\n
now in my eye<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n

its dance of death<\/p>\n
choking as it fought<\/p>\n
for breath<\/p>\n
gesticulating till it dropped<\/p>\n
remonstrating till they stopped<\/p>\n
