If only I could get out<\/p>\n
of this crate I know I’d fly<\/p>\n
somewhere where its safe<\/p>\n
to, rather than just die<\/p>\n

in this crate packed tightly<\/p>\n
with other souls like me<\/p>\n
who want a better life than this<\/p>\n
but somehow seemingly<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the men who took charge of us<\/p>\n
all they want to do<\/p>\n
is cram us in this awful place<\/p>\n
and hurt us, \u00a0its is true<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they pick us up just by our necks<\/p>\n
or wings<\/p>\n
then throw us down<\/p>\n
no respect for us at all<\/p>\n
they really go to town<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
and look I’ve pushed my head out<\/p>\n
of this awful place, the air<\/p>\n
is grim I had a voice once<\/p>\n
but now my worlds so dim<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I think we are off to slaughter<\/p>\n
its not a pleasant thought<\/p>\n
to peck upon a nice green field<\/p>\n
is what of course is sought<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
but man unkind is brutal<\/p>\n
he’s so unkind for he<\/p>\n
crates us up like sardines<\/p>\n
