I feel, so alone<\/p>\n
and I am on my own<\/p>\n
every hour of every day<\/p>\n
he made me pay<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
once I was free<\/p>\n
and, so happy<\/p>\n
then he came along<\/p>\n
and it, all went wrong<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
it was the zoo<\/p>\n
I was going to<\/p>\n
a strange awful place<\/p>\n
to me a disgrace<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
where all of the day<\/p>\n
I learned with dismay<\/p>\n
what concrete walls are for<\/p>\n
and what was in store<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
desolation and emptiness<\/p>\n
deprived of \u00a0natural light<\/p>\n
an absence of the basic needs<\/p>\n
an absentee in flight<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
unsettled is my prison<\/p>\n
my vision lost and gone<\/p>\n
I have lost my concentration<\/p>\n
inconceivably I’m on<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
a sort of static treadmill<\/p>\n
that moves but goes no where<\/p>\n
I am uninvolved<\/p>\n
nothings been solved<\/p>\n
here against my will<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
an exhibit pure and simple<\/p>\n
a commodity, that’s me<\/p>\n
broken and forgotten<\/p>\n
is that how it has to be<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I have become an oversight<\/p>\n
the pit is my desire<\/p>\n
the wall I hold myself up on<\/p>\n
and stoke my inner fire<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
neglected as a individual<\/p>\n
an experiment of sorts<\/p>\n
for me its indecision<\/p>\n
and just unknowing thoughts<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they are the unenlightened ones<\/p>\n
those who come to peer<\/p>\n
down on me, they drop things on me<\/p>\n
they cannot feel my fear<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the absurdity of seeing<\/p>\n
a bear against a wall<\/p>\n
head bowed a condition<\/p>\n
of insanity that’s all<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
hallucinations worry me<\/p>\n
a mania of thoughts<\/p>\n
they took away all that I knew<\/p>\n
and I grew out of sorts<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
became so disillusioned<\/p>\n
so downtrodden and sad<\/p>\n
and my disappointment<\/p>\n
is really all I had<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
zoo’s are like a desert<\/p>\n
of concrete everywhere<\/p>\n
nothing living to admire<\/p>\n
even the rankest air<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they throw food down upon me<\/p>\n
its matted in my hair<\/p>\n
on the pretext they are caring<\/p>\n
in fact they are no where<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
wicked that’s their standing<\/p>\n
on this mortal coil<\/p>\n
shame on them I have to say<\/p>\n
they do make my blood boil<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
no one wants to look at me<\/p>\n
no one comes my way<\/p>\n
I do not roar I never sing<\/p>\n
and for that of course I pay<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
my loneliness is evident<\/p>\n
seemingly for me<\/p>\n
all that’s left is remembering<\/p>\n
the lady friend that be<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
back home in the forest<\/p>\n
I loved her she was mine<\/p>\n
not really she was nobody’s<\/p>\n
but she kept me in line<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
and now if ever I should<\/p>\n
let her go then I’d be through<\/p>\n
off down to the rainbow bridge<\/p>\n
where I might meet her too<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
that’s all I have to think about<\/p>\n
when one day, I die<\/p>\n
life for me inside this pit<\/p>\n
this zoo just makes me cry<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
