It was late, so very late<\/p>\n
at nightand \u00a0a dog was on the street<\/p>\n
shivering with frost that hovered all around its feet<\/p>\n
crossing over the main road<\/p>\n
ears pricked eyes a glow<\/p>\n
a drunken driver hit him<\/p>\n
and he wasn’t going slow<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
tossed our little friend up in the air<\/p>\n
he came crashing down<\/p>\n
lying in the middle<\/p>\n
of the main road out of town<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
a man in tears who witnessed this<\/p>\n
who felt for this poor hound<\/p>\n
the driver of course he never stopped<\/p>\n
and with no one else around<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the man felt he must save the dog<\/p>\n
and lifted him in his arms<\/p>\n
with dogs at home already<\/p>\n
succumbing to his charms<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
but being short of money<\/p>\n
so another mouth to feed<\/p>\n
but he took him home and loved him<\/p>\n
i his best chance to succeed<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
though tired and short of finances<\/p>\n
we looked after this poor lad<\/p>\n
took him in and loved him<\/p>\n
and though he was quite bad<\/p>\n
he very soon receovered<\/p>\n
with extra TLC<\/p>\n
we now hope for a froever home<\/p>\n
with a forever family<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
