It matters not what happened<\/p>\n
it just matters that<\/p>\n
a dog saw his friend killed<\/p>\n
and so by her sat<\/p>\n
this was in China<\/p>\n
a busy main street<\/p>\n
he just laid against her<\/p>\n
licking her feet<\/p>\n
I say this was China<\/p>\n
for in China they eat<\/p>\n
Dogs any dogs they find in the street<\/p>\n
but this hound knew his place<\/p>\n
beside his sick friend<\/p>\n
who he knew he must sit with<\/p>\n
right up till the end<\/p>\n
it was winter and freezing<\/p>\n
the wind blew and blew<\/p>\n
but these two sad souls sat<\/p>\n
one being true<\/p>\n
the other had already passed on<\/p>\n
had died<\/p>\n
when hit by the truck<\/p>\n
had been broken inside<\/p>\n
her guts strewn around<\/p>\n
her heart it had ceased<\/p>\n
her soul was \u00a0away<\/p>\n
it had been released<\/p>\n
but despite all of that<\/p>\n
and the cold and the frost<\/p>\n
the dog lay beside his friend<\/p>\n
bearing the cost<\/p>\n
of potentially being hit by a truck<\/p>\n
or someone coming by<\/p>\n
him losing his luck<\/p>\n
being carted away<\/p>\n
to be eaten as well<\/p>\n
but he didn’t care<\/p>\n
with one look you could tell<\/p>\n
he had loved her<\/p>\n
there was no doubt<\/p>\n
and that was why<\/p>\n
he decided to lay with<\/p>\n
and perhaps die<\/p>\n
