How long have we danced on the carousel<\/p>\n
a round and a round we have run<\/p>\n
the music once it moved us<\/p>\n
but the same old tune<\/p>\n
it deafened us thats what it has done<\/p>\n
we love the children on our backs<\/p>\n
we get tired sometimes but we<\/p>\n
sought freedom from a magician<\/p>\n
and he gave that and we<\/p>\n
are off into the forest<\/p>\n
into the evening light<\/p>\n
to leap over gates and run through streams<\/p>\n
we are now horses by right<\/p>\n
we have done our stint on the carousel<\/p>\n
we are free to run and play<\/p>\n
its our Christmas wish<\/p>\n
its enchanting to<\/p>\n
find our feet today<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We sought the hills<\/p>\n
with its icy thrills<\/p>\n
with the moonlight on our backs<\/p>\n
some leaves and grass<\/p>\n
would be first class<\/p>\n
a cave where we’d relax<\/p>\n
far away from the carousel<\/p>\n
from the tedium to where<\/p>\n
mysteries and \u00a0lakes of blue<\/p>\n
where the world is more aware<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
we can gallop and walk<\/p>\n
and together talk<\/p>\n
to the wild Hares and the fox<\/p>\n
we can play together<\/p>\n
use a pigeon feather<\/p>\n
and sleep among the rocks<\/p>\n
freedom to do what we want<\/p>\n
to taste the air and dew<\/p>\n
