\ntoo many wrongs are perpetrated
\nwe’re thrust into fights
\nwe suffer and we try to surface
\nburied in it all
\nthe factory the CAFO and the corporate

\nas well us animals
\nis now immense and we
\nare at the end of our tether
\nin adversity we be<\/p>\n
and carnivores are insensitive
\nthey do not care at all
\nwhether we get strung up or stapled to some wall
\nwhether we get stunned a bit
\nor our throats are just sawn through
\nwhether we die in agony
\nthey just don’t have a clue
\nas long as we are tender
\nthe meat has the right taste
\nwhether we died in agony
\nslowly or in haste
\nthey are just not worried
\nand in fact they look away
\nwe suffer in such silence
\nyes its us,and we pay <\/p>\n
and so now there’s now an army
\nof animal rights souls who
\ntake on the role of angels
\nand follow us they do
\nthey might me doctors or writers
\nor nurses any one
\nwho still has some compassion
\nand is not numbed out and dumb<\/p>\n
who doesn’t get drugged out of their mind
\nor drinks into their sea
\nwho still has all their faculties
\nand can spare a thought for me
\nand others in this predicament
\nconsigned to death somewhere
\nor thrown out on the icy streets
\nwhere humans are unfair<\/p>\n
the angels come and help us
\nthey call it animal rights
\nthey sign our petitions
\nand get better conditions
