its so much easier to look away
\nand get on with one’s life
\nnow everyday
\nthere’s lot to do
\nthere’s lots to see
\nand cows in the CAFO’s
\nand dairy
\nare lost souls anyway
\nwhy would I care
\nI enjoy the taste
\nof meat so there<\/p>\n
that’s the retort of most around
\nthose that walk on our hallowed ground
\na dominion we all hold
\nto kill and eat
\nall those sold<\/p>\n
its easier to look away
\nits easier to forget they are there
\nbut is it easier thats my question
\nhow can you avoid despair
\nit must creep into your mind sometimes
\nsurely it does when your see the trays
\nthe sterile cuts on the shelves in town
\nthey were once friends in so many ways<\/p>\n
the point is we can distance ourselves
\nand not even see what is on the shelves
\nI have my life and I know how
\nI can just forget that cow
\nbesides it is dead nothing I can do
\nto bring her back
\nher life is through
\nnow she can feed me
\nthat’s her worth
\nthat’s why she came to this earth<\/p>\n
besides I love the taste of meat
\nand the taste of cheese
\nand yoghurt sweet
\nI like milk chocolate
\nI like Ice cream
\nthe fucking cow
\njust doesn’t seem
\nto be anything in all of this
\nwhen I’m eating and drinking
\nmy days are bliss<\/p>\n
its easier to look away
\nits easier to forget the day
\nits easier to do my thing
\nbesides most people want to bring
\nsomething to eat be it cheese or spread
\nso who cares if the cow is dead<\/p>\n
thats how they feel
\nthe cow’s no more
\nonce she walked about for sure
\nbut now she’s converted in to leather to wear
\nand cream on my fruit
\nthat we all share<\/p>\n
the dairy knows this and participates
\ndistances us and recreates
\na void of course who wants to see
\na cow in a field it has to be
\ntucked away in huge great shed
\nfed on soya and sometimes led
\ninto the slaughterhouse one by one
\nand never ever sees the sun<\/p>\n
thats the way its has to be
\nkeep the cows away from me
\nthen its easier not to think
\nwhose milk I heat up and I drink
\nthe calf who cares about that soul
\na sacrifice that is its role
\nso I can taste its lovely rump
\nand around my body its blood can pump<\/p>\n
butter and cream and cheese on toast
\nsteak and chips I love a roast
\nits the cholesterol I hate most
\nbut there are tablets I hear them boast
\nits easier to look away
\nits easier to forget the day
\nits easier if someone else can pay
