For anyone to gift a fellow creature
\nan elephant to a monastery
\nmust see
\nthat because religion holds
\nits place
\nit doesn’t mean that’s there’s
\nany guarantee
\nlooking after an elephant
\nis a challenge
\nit musn’t be taken lightly
\nfor to do
\nanything but really put one’s heart
\ninto the process
\nanything less will
\nfail fail that is my view<\/p>\n
an elephant is a huge
\nsoul
\nits consumption needs
\nlots of thought
\nand care is needed too
\nan animals that walks
\na wild mile earnestly
\nneeds fresh air
\nand what it wants to do<\/p>\n
so to put it in a closed place
\nit would pine a lot
\nit needs fresh air
\nits lungs need that to be
\nbut to put it in a dark shed
\nchained up then its frustration
\nwould swell inside itself
\ndecidedly<\/p>\n
in reality the elephant
\nwas neglected
\nreligion and its masters
\ncannot see
\nthe need the care it must be there
\nand constant
\nyou cannot neglect an elephant
\nits not fair<\/p>\n
as time goes on the elephant
\nwill suffer
\nthe heat the lack of air
\nits very hard
\nchained up against a wall
\nwith far too few to call
\nits emotions would truthfully off guard<\/p>\n
and this is what did happen
\nthe religious side of things
\ngot preference over caring
\nand all of that just brings
\nconflict to the reckoning
\nthe elephant would see
\nlittle in his world alas
