In Delhi so we hear a famous chef
\nhas hit the street
\nfor 20 years or more his hands in hot oil
\nall that heat
\nhe doesn’t feel it goes to say
\nunfeeling is his stance
\ncoupled with the 100 kilos of dead flesh
\ngiven chance
\nagain he is unfeeling
\nof the life that has been quashed
\nthe vivacity of spirit
\nthat in the rivers washed
\nuntil man un kind trapped them
\nand they chanced by his stall
\nto be immersed in red hot oil
\nreally in in free fall
\nover 100 kilos of dead bodies
\nmake it through
\ndeep fried in his massive pans
\nand then eaten by you<\/p>\n
the chef is most unfeeling
\nnever thought a thing
\nnever wondered really
\nhow the fish did bring
\nitself into his arena
\nand be deep fried on the spot
\nan earthling with a mission
\nnot ready for the pot<\/p>\n
the passers by and on lookers
\nthey are unfeeling too
\nthey only think of the chef’s hands
\nnot the fish that went into
\nthe hot oil doesn’t burn him
\nhis brain so dull to it
\ncall it meditation
\nor call it basic shit<\/p>\n
i hate to see these animals
\ncaught in trawls each day
\nsquashed on one another
\nand being made to pay
\ndelicate wee beings
\nwho loved the sea as they
\nwere part of all existence
