\nfor some hunting and killing always seems to bring
\nsomething masculine out in the open
\nand we see
\nchildren facing up to animals
\nwho truly have to be
\ntaught its right to kill them
\naim the gun and fire
\nshoot them right between the eyes
\nits what men do
\nto tire
\nme out like this is crazy
\nfor children have to know
\nwhat’s right and what’s wrong
\nabout killing
\nfor it is all part of the show<\/p>\n
but why is it so common
\nfor children to be shown
\nits right to kill an animal
\nmore so, than they’ve known
\na father needs to teach the children
\nthat only pansies cry
\na man must take the gun and shoot
\nand ensure the beast does die<\/p>\n
its a pastime for the cowardly
\nnothing is ever gained
\nfrom killing mammals in cold blood
\nas their life is drained
\nfrom them, which is often
\nwhen we think what we have done
\ndenied them life that we have
\ndenied them any fun<\/p>\n
our father urges us to kill
\nhis camouflage gear’s cool
\nthe way he holds his rifle
\nand my dad is so tall
\nthe weasel needs a bullet
\nto shut him up a while
\nand to do it with a rifle
\nshows them you’ve got style<\/p>\n
to my mind it is evil
\nits not bonding with a child
\nto take it to the forest
\nand kill something that’s wild
\nits a terrible denial
\nits wrong completely wrong
