Its been a great mystery
\nbut its not forsaken
\nthe dictatorship
\nand the war
\nit has taken
\nmuch from the people
\nbut the animals are
\nuntouched in so many ways
\nand quietly star<\/p>\n
in the great forest opera
\nthat now we can see
\nthe rare cats, the tapirs
\nthe Pangolin’s be
\nstill resident there
\nin a time warp it seems
\nwhere visions held up
\nas did the great mother’s dreams<\/p>\n
the insects the mammals
\nthe birds and the cats
\nthe bears and the eli’s
\nthe monkeys and Bats
\nthe spiders the beetles
\nthe richness we see
\nthe vast secret places
\nthe tranquillity<\/p>\n
great tigers who wander
\nthe forests at night
\nmoon bears are mating
\nin the moon light
\nmongoose and pangolin
\nrarities they
\napparently share
\nthey great forests today<\/p>\n
for 50 long years
\nwhilst Asia erupted
\nthe loggers went in
\nand of course they corrupted
\nthe palm oil explosions
\nfor corporate gain
\nand the logging from people
\nso wholly insane<\/p>\n
great expanses of forest
\ntorn down and lost
\nthe oxygen squandered
\nat such a high cost
\nso many species murdered
\nthis way
\ncrushed burned and trapped
\nthat’s been the way<\/p>\n
But Burma was silent
\nshe slept and denied
\nbut now loggers are there
\na new suicide
\nas trees are sawn down
\ngreat trunks
\ntrucked away
\nthe great corporations
\nand causing dismay<\/p>\n
Burma must go
\nthe forests can make
\nvast sums of money
\nthere is lots of cake
\nto fill up the coffers
\nits pillage and rape
\nand the animal kingdom
\nfrom the darkness they gape<\/p>\n
out at the human tribe
\ntrucks fires and saws
\ncoming to tear down
\nto scythe through the laws
\nof the forest creating
\na hell hole of pain
\nBurma must withstand
\ntheir advancement for gain<\/p>\n
the scientists were given leave
\nto explore
\nand wondrous emotions
\nwere found at its core
\nvast tracts of life
\na great force in our lives
\nbut poachers are ready with their guns
\nand knives<\/p>\n
so lets hope that Burma
\nhas the moral strength
\nand can stave off these corporates
\nand go to such length
\nas to protect its forests
\nand safeguard it all
\nfrom the corporate nonsense
\nthey must build their wall<\/p>\n
will they be strong enough
\nwill they believe
\nits important to protect
\nthe animals
\nand leave
\nthem their for humanity
\nor will they just say
\nits a hunters paradise
\nand walk away<\/p>\n
one hopes they see sense
\nand listen and learn
\nwhat they have now
\nshows that such concern
\nfor the greater environment
\nwill serve them well
\nprotect and preserve
