South Africa has clearly
\nsunk into its own dark pit
\nits given up what moral stance
\nit had
\nfor it sees fit
\nto support 160 farms
\nwith the morals
\nthat now purge
\nthe life force of the country
\nexpressed now in this dirge<\/p>\n
that heightens some expectancy
\nand darkens others too
\nthe need to raise Lions
\nin the hope of benefitting through
\nselling on to canned hunts
\nthe callous waste that’s here
\nin the moment breaking records
\ncaptivity is clear<\/p>\n
the trophy hunter phenomena
\nis growing by the day
\nthousands of Lions are slaughtered
\nin cold blood and how they pay
\nfor being raised and hand reared
\nand their lives, sold to those
\nwho apparently have the where for all
\nthe bank roll that does pose<\/p>\n
a great draw to the farmers
\nwho breed or sell the game
\nwho import these callous pseudo hunters
\nand truthfully inflame
\nevery thoughtful animal lover
\nwho ever did exist
\ncanned hunting of course its called
\na term we ought resist<\/p>\n
that favours those who
\nheartlessly divulge the secrets and
\nraise the cubs and rake the scum
\nthat poisons this fair land
\nimporting cowards a plenty
\nready to lay the cash
\nto have their special license
\na wall hanging to trash<\/p>\n
every moral code that ever
\nwas I have to feel
\nSouth Africa has sunk down
\nin my estimation, real
\ntime
\nand all its animals raised
\non farms today
\nconsigned to death
\nfor money for human gain
\nthe way<\/p>\n
we lose ourselves
\nto my mind shows the shallowness
\nwe possess
\nwe sacrifice creation
\nwe give those earthlings stress
\nwe mess with their affection
\ntheir confidence, for they
\ncan realize our evil
\nand understand the way<\/p>\n
they have to remain aloof from us
\nfor genuinely we
\nare a insult on this global sphere
\nfor all humanity
\ntrophy hunting holidaymakers
\nbreak my heart for, I
\ncan’t abide their ugliness
\ntheir shallowness and why?<\/p>\n
would a country stoop to levels
\nfor their sanity is lost
\nblood money in the bloody banks
\nthis karmic debt has cost
\nvast amounts of energy
\nthis is a malaise
\npermeating every walk of life
\njust every phase<\/p>\n
its a sickness now enveloping
\nthose who do these things
\nhang a stuffed head on their walls
\nimagining that it brings
\nany particular kudos to anyone who sees
\nand who knows the brave soul
\nwas drugged up to its eyeballs
\nif you please<\/p>\n
lifeless because of money
\nill gotten gains, may be
\nbut souls are being lost
\nare being murdered, tragically
\ndrawn into the miasma
\nthat is man who has sunk into
\na depraved state of existence
\ndon’t let this capture you<\/p>\n
in 7 years some 6000 trophies
\nwere exported far and wide
\nto be stuck on some one’s rotten wall
\nthe captured one’s denied
\nhow they came to shoot the soul
\nthe majesty of it all
\nthe disregard for creation
\nwith the morals of a ghoul<\/p>\n
canned hunting is so sinful

\nthey are bringing down South Africa

\nto try and stop this happening
\nbut the farmers turned the screws
\nand the trophy hunters won their case

we have to stand together
\nthose animals abroad
\nbeing shot down as they are
\nthey are seen as some reward
\nfor South Africa but actually
\nin the passing of the years
\ntheir children will look back at them
\ntheir big eyes full of tears<\/p>\n
